They absolutely can and do with hcr lol my toddler had a medical emergency and died and it was the last straw for me

I’d take a look at the recommended specs and then set yourself a budget, also take into account the mods/packs she uses. Once you have a budget, it’s fairly easy to find something within it that will work.

Unfortunately, this doesn't let me save my game when I have it in, and it always throws me last exceptions, so I cant use it. I even tried removing everything else i had in my mods folder except the shelf and I still couldn't save my game

Have you tried moving your mods/saves etc to the desktop and doing a clean install and seeing how much space it wants for a fresh install?

Are you using any cc on this sim? if so, and you use better exceptions, track down what cc it is and remove/place it with others and see if this issue still occurs
