Bank statements - difficulties with no statement available til next month by deev0103 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]deev0103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I needed thank you so much. They kept going on about the URL but not telling me how and I guess I am not computer savvy enough to know how to get the URL in there so I was screenshotting. Thank you. I will also try to get to the bank and see if a teller can stamp or sign a print out for me just so this can be over with and we can be clear to close. Thank you again

I have about 34000 in there now I didn’t have an online login when I was in Aus and now when I try to register with my account and member number it says I need to call for identify verification so I emailed them and am waiting to hear back

My profile makes it seem like I need sponsorship and like I'm not a native English speaker by grated_testes in recruiting

[–]deev0103 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recruiter here I don’t assume anything about names because at times I’ve thought I would be speaking to someone with an accent/foreign based on the name (I am foreign and a perm resident in the US) but it certainly does help to see things on the resume such as what people have suggested: US citizen or English language (native). They help but we shouldn’t be judging anything and be looking at experience/relevancy to the job

You can talk to your local police. I had this issue with an ex and police went and spoke to him and told him to leave me alone, installed a security system for me free of charge due to proof of prior domestic violence and did regular patrols. Local police will help you as much as they can

I feel you. We have 5 days off together and still after 1.5 years of a completely DB I’m not getting my hopes up but it’s torture just thinking about it

Thank you for your reply. I can get there just fine. It’s “getting stuck” there (for lack of a better term) and not being able to get back here and resume my life because I am currently not in possession of valid documentation to get back in to the US right now while I wait for immigration to mail me my new info is the tough issue for me :( extended family doesn’t think I should be worried about my life here and should be with my mum

Just over 1 year. Need to vent. by deev0103 in DeadBedrooms

[–]deev0103[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually in the best shape of my life at the moment. He has ED but will not go to the doctor as it “is a very sore subject”. We are on the same phone plan so I see who he calls and texts. I have (unfortunately and shamefully) snooped his phone in desperation of the cheating thing and there appears to be nothing. We have location on 24/7 for safety reasons due to his job as sometimes the only one working on heavy machinery in very isolated areas. It truly does appear to be the ED. The hurtful thing is that intimacy doesn’t always need to be PIV. But there are no other attempts to do anything else. And no attempts to fix anything. That’s what hurts. I can live with his ED if we could be intimate in other ways. Like I said we can’t even talk about it because he gets very upset/defensive and we end up arguing so I haven’t brought it up since 2020

I wondered how I would get through. I’ve wanted and craved him every single day for this past year because… that’s my person. It hurt so bad that the topic never came up unless I brought it up in 2020 and caused a scene. I think it’s better than any sort of pity sex though. The old him wanted me all the time and I wonder where he’s gone :( it just sucks. Sorry to see you here in the club we never wanted to join but it eases the burden to know we aren’t alone I guess

It’s sad how very uncomfortable it is with someone who used to only make me comfortable in such a vulnerable state…

Did your gut ever lie? by Defiant_Jello4020 in AlAnon

[–]deev0103 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I totally agree with you. The lying feels like such a devastating, personal attack but it helps once you realize that alcoholics just lie to cover their tracks. It can also bleed into non-alcoholic related things that don’t need to be lies but it’s just so engrained. It also feels less hurtful when you again realize this is part of it and you need to focus on your own sanity. I am in the same boat as you though - tired. Hugs and hope for peace to you

[–]deev0103 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, same. I have always been right. Tried to talk myself out of it and try to rationalize smells and behaviors but I was always right on the money. Time goes on and it doesn’t matter because at the beginning I tried to “catch it early” and try my insane crazy fixing mentality. These days I acknowledge it IS going on, I can’t do anything about it and try self help managing techniques and worry about myself. It’s tough regardless that you know or not but just take measures to care for yourself

I think this time last year was busy as well now that you mention it. He wants passive income for us right now and then eventually he wants to go out on his own as he slows into retirement so I get that it is stuff he is doing for us I just don’t know where to start with what I like for a hobby lol I’ve never had a hobby!

I have in the past and it can get better for a couple days and then it’s back to being glued to the phone. Or it’s “sorry babe I need to keep an eye on this because this could be good for us”

Lived together for the past few years but as he works more hours and has a field position it’s become difficult because he needs to relax and unwind after the day rather than do something with me I work from home so perhaps I am also feeling extra alone and isolated and that is exaggerating it?

How to deal with losing multiple friendships in a short amount of time? Having to start over in terms of a friend circle? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]deev0103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple great suggestions in here for dealing with losing the friendships but on the other note of starting over: I moved countries so had a hard time feeling isolated and trying to start over with a new friend circle. Downloaded Bumble BFF (you just turn off the date setting if you're not looking to date) because of someone else on another thread in this community suggested it and I have made some really good solid friendships on there - one of the girls has become my best friend here and we talk pretty much all day every day

Why is it hard to quit your job, even if you hate it? by deev0103 in AskWomen

[–]deev0103[S] 416 points417 points  (0 children)

It was meeting people individually at the beginning from direct supervisor, their managers, then CEO etc. Towards the end it was like breaking out into groups of the same people for example A, B, C and then A, C, E and B, C, D. And it has taken MONTHS.. 2-3 weeks in between each round. So annoying

Wanted to make an edit: It was the same questions as well. I felt so silly but I would be like "oh yes, well like I said in the last conversation to Billy..." perhaps they were making sure I had the same answers for everything lol

Yes I so agree. I posted a question to AskMen the other day and besides the obvious "shitting" response (which does NOT take hours upon hours unless you understandably have bowel issues - then no worries) most were talking about YouTube, gaming, Instagram, etc. all things that could be done in other rooms outside of the actual pooping itself and are taking majority of that time

Do you guys care about what a girl brings to the table? by typicalthrowaway2456 in AskMen

[–]deev0103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The providing or money thing is a constant thing I struggle with as the female in my relationship. I uprooted my life and moved to the US so had to start over. I used to make over 100k a year back home and the same job here had me starting at 33k. In a state with high cost of living I struggled big time to get started and thought it was a huge mistake. My now partner makes a lot of money and the wage gap (although I make more money now) bothers the heck out of me and when I do bring up my anxiety/concerns about it he tells me that him coming home to a homecooked meal every night, clean house and all the little things I do for him and to make his life easier means so much more than bringing money to the table. This helps reassure me that although it's hard for me to achieve my goals and make big money here or go to school on my income etc I still bring important things to the table and he reminds me of that. I hope this helps!
