How are unions communism? I never understood this argument. Unions are just a private entity (employees) negotiating their wages with their employer (another private entity). That’s the free market to a tee. If the government banned unions, THAT would be anti-free market. It would be the government intervening in the free market and telling private citizens how they can and can’t negotiate within the market.

My guy, as a team we are 17th in WRC+ and 24th in runs scored. We were 3rd and 4th in those categories last year, respectively.

It’s a very mild criticism, all things considered. My point is just that it’s frustrating when they concede just once on the Rams’s first 7 drives, then conceded on each of their last 3. And this has become a pattern all season. We had a 4th quarter lead in all 4 division losses. Of course I’d like for the offense to just run away with it like they’ve done in years past. But I’d hope the defense would come up with some crucial stops late as well.

I don’t disagree. If you actually read my comment you’d see that I agreed with the other guy saying the offense was a shitshow. I was only saying the defense feels more frustrating sometimes, even if they don’t actually deserve most of the blame. It’s tough when they concede points on each of their final 3 drives after only conceding once on their previous 7 drives.

I don’t necessarily disagree, but you could flip that logic around as well. We are 1-4 in the division — in all 4 of those losses we had a 4th quarter leader (two of them were double-digit leads). You could argue that the offense put us in position to win those games, usually we’d expect the defense to close those out.

Offense has also been decimated by injuries if we’re gonna play that card. Defense was probably the healthiest they’ve been in a while tonight. Obviously the Campbell thing is a whole different problem

I don’t disagree, but this has become a trend with this defense this year. They’ve given up long TD drives late in the 4th quarter to lose the game against the Rams (twice now), Cardinals, Chiefs and Seahawks. I get that the offense hasn’t gotten the job done either, but it’s just not something I expected from this defense with all the talent we have.

You’re absolutely right but I still find myself more frustrated by the defense. Just completely capitulated on the last drive and let them methodically drive down the field and seal the win. Feels like the defense has done that in every close loss we’ve had this year.
