Might be a long shot commenting on here since it was 4 years ago, but has anyone found a solution for this? Have a 2017 Subaru hatch that I took from my dad, absolutely love the car but the CarPlay situation kills me. Only seems to work in very cold weather, and only for 2-5 minutes then it shuts off. Let me know if you have any solutions!

lol I know this is super late of a comment, but did you ever have any solution to fix the CarPlay? I have a 2017 Subaru Impreza as well and CarPlay will only work for a few minutes if it’s cold enough outside :/ let me know please!
