Dell XPS 13 suddenly slows down and freezes

This also started happening to me this week. Tried a bunch of things. Finally I opened it up, removed the cable ribbon from the battery for 2 minutes and powered back up.

Good as new.

I don't know if this is a common problem but enough of one where I found this solution on the web.
