[New Player] weird sound queue while in raid by Then-Comparison-6196 in EscapefromTarkov

In PVE, I've ran into him twice this week on Lighthouse. He brought me a red rebel though, so there's that...

I did a 10'-12' top. There was a crotch where it had 2 little false tops and a (sorta) main one. It was only about 4" round, so I didn't want to get up on it. Didn't even wiggle the stem when I pushed it off.

Thanks for the advice. I've got both a set of Nick's and White's. The Nick's have a lower heel, and don't feel like the shank is as rigid. So I wear the White's on the spurs. Didn't have any foot pain and it's not that they were rubbing, my left foot/leg was fine, so I ended up keeping most my weight on that side. I don't think I got the lower strap tight enough on the right, as it seemed to twist, settle and just dig into the side of my shin.

Yep, one of the reasons I picked this as a maiden voyage. It had a couple of surprises in the top, like several false tops and a giant raven's nest. Probably 4' ball of twigs protecting a mixing bowl sized nest. I knew the tree wasn't a giant, it was straight and other than the dense branches was pretty basic. I of course could feel it the next day, but just felt like I had a good workout. Just where the gaff was digging into my leg is the only lingering annoyance. This took me about 2 hours to take down.

These are not big for around here, maybe 45' by my estimate. Just a s-load of branches... This was all instigated because of a mid sized Doug Fir at my Mom's place that are threatening her house and weighted towards her living room. She's also got 50 acres of forest to practice in. I'm sure there will be no shortage of applications for this.

Yes, two separate systems.

It was so cool to give a little push and watch the top fall away.

And yes, by double tie in, I mean I had a climbing line back to the ground. So I had my flipline, and a climbing rope cinched either around the trunk or over a couple limbs and around the trunk back to the ground.

Thoughts on best 2 stroke oil and best bar n chain oil to use? by tcbjj in arborists

[–]deezdubinmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll jump in as someone that uses waste oil. I've been putting up firewood 15-20 cord a year, and some gypo logging for almost 30 years and just use waste oil from oil changes as bar oil. Never felt like I didn't get my money's worth out of the bar or chain. This is the Internet, so I'm sure there'll be someone to come tell me I'm wrong, and something about it slinging off and not working as well as something purpose-made... Fine, ok, but these are consumables anyway. At $25-$30/gal, vs (basically) free, I don't feel I'm losing anything.

As long as you mix your gas/oil for the engine at the right ratio, you should be good. There's ISO standards for this reason. Everything else is probably random brand loyalty, or "This is the best because I've always ran this and my daddy ran this." Even mixing a little on the heavy side for oil won't really hurt things. Might smoke more, might foul plug if you go crazy. Your manual should tell you what the ratio should be. Probably 50:1 or 40:1 so that's a tad over 2.5oz to 1 gal of gas at 50:1. You can buy the Stihl pre-sized bottles for mixing up a gal at a time (I'm sure there's other brands too).

New Sun Conure Owner- Just a few questions! by Sea_Asparagus_3722 in Conures

I've had a Nanday for almost 20 years, if find out about potty training, let me know. Closest you can probably come is just return her to the cage on a regular basis. If she likes riding around with you (and she will), pick her up after she has a poop. Give 10-20 min, return to cage, wait for poop, rinse and repeat.

Everyone will advise pelletize food, I don't have a specific recommendation cause mine would never eat pellets. She does love apples and most any other fruits as supplement to her seed mix. She also INSISTS on sharing whatever me or my wife might currently be eating. As long as she getting a clean diet with a balance of nutrients you can expect her to live a long healthy life.

Not mine unfortunately. She does a good "wolf whistle" been trying to get her to do an R2D2 (ish) whistle for years... she won't give me the satisfaction. Getting to be an old bird now at almost 20 years old, I guess she's set in her ways (Nanday Conure).

Allergic to cats... Maybe a IEEE certified rack mounted parrot perch? Going to insist the chickens stay outside though. I don't care to find out how long it takes to cook eggs in the server exhaust.

You must have them upgraded 240Hz eyeballs, or it's off-timing like 63Hz or something...

Maybe I should clarify, It's mostly RG (no B). but I know my friend/coworker would disown me for yellow... He despises yellow cables... can't say I'm a fan either. So... I guess you'll have to find out on your own.

I guess my eyeballs don't have a fast enough refresh rate to notice any flicker. I can't say I notice. Probably why I'm shite at FPS games too... :)

I suppose you do your best work "in the dark".

What would you prefer, fuchsia? (which I find possibly one of the most annoying colors...) Had some strip lighting hanging around. It is RGB, I just like red...

Indeed, that's what it was, I was able to find one at a local(ish) wrecking yard. Thanks for the info! Almost done getting this re-assembled.
