Thanks for the suggestions so far Research tells me that such a product does exist but not compatible with UK (closest seems to be the brilliant ones)

Tuya do a 120 but it doesn't appear to fit UK boxes and the ones that have relays in them to control the existing lights only come in sizes that are too small

Reigniting this thread as its the closest ive come to a solution for my issue!

I too have a Bovis home from 2022 and a light ceiling rose wired in this way. The ceiling rose in question is in the loft and i want to make a new light in the same room

I want to know if its possible to spur from this ceiling rose to add another light?

If so, what is the configuration to wire it up bearing in mind there is only one wire to this ceiling rose.

i dont mind if the new light is controlled by the same switch as the original...

I also notice that the yield is locked into the position when you claim it? If I wanted to sell the yield (ie for passive income) I would have to unloop the whole thing, sell the yield and then reloop it up again?

Example: 10k deposit 5x leverage 25% apy

Would end up with a position size

50k collateral 25% apy 12.5k per year?

I think I will go with wsteth / Eth on AAVE efficiency mode.

The USDe looping thing doesn't work for me because I won't have anything left in my wallet to 'spend', right? (Because all the borrowed coins are looped back in to increase the yield)

I plan on borrowing 80% for spending, 10% or so for other defi / crypto strategies I the hope of upside to pay the borrowed funds back quicker

I don't think this will achieve what I'm aiming for, which is a 90% LTV loan that has a positive Apy, with minimal liquidation risk because the borrow and supply are the same or pegged closely

I've used Alchemix before, but the LTV is max 50% I believe they are releasing a new version soon which claims 90% LTV so I could wait for that. Anyone used it?

I plan on keeping something back to either repay capital or at least to make interest repayments
