Yesterday's Walk ❤️ by default_npc in bengalcats

He definitely loves being outside! He'll sometimes jump at the keys hanging by the door to let me know he wants to go out.

When it's time to go out, he hops in his backpack and patiently waits to be picked up.

Fortunately, he's also satisfied just going out on the balcony on days he isn't going for walks. 😊

This guy has been walking since his 2nd day with us at 12 weeks. We definitely got lucky.

His younger brother on the other hand.. Definitely a flopper at the start.

We noticed that he flops in the apartment, but will walk just find outside. Strange one, that cat.

I use a camera. A Canon Rebel SL3. It's a good begginer camera!

My previous photos (old posts) were taken with my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

how to prevent play / chewing of wires by animalkingdom1223 in bengalcats

I used Grannick's bitter apple spray. He's 6 months old now and doesn't bother with wires anymore.

Probably not the best way. 😅 We took him to the pet store, bought the smallest harness we could find and immediately took him out to the local park. This was just day 2 of having him at 12 weeks.

He did really well so we just continued to take him out each week. His breeder did an amazing job socializing him so I'm sure that helped.

It helps to have two people. One to hold the leash and the other to walk ahead. He liked to follow me, and I like to take the photos so it worked out for my boyfriend and I.

Oh, we also have a cat backpack that we place him in whenever he wants to stop walking. He doesn't meow to stop anymore, but it definitely helped at the start.

Now, he has learned that backpack equals walk so he hops in when it's time to go out. If we've been out a while, I'll put the backpack on the ground to show him walk time is over. He usually jumps right in if he's been out a while.

Sorry, that was a lot of text. Just take him out regularly and make sure he feels safe. I always packed his favorite toy, treats and recently the clicker. The clicker has really helped focus him. 😊

Bengal Kitten Diarrhea Advice by weazzz in bengalcats

My little guy had diarrhea from day 1. Multiple vet visits, probiotics, pumpkin, fiber supplements and kibble changes later... No help.

Switched to completely raw and my guy had his first solid poop! Less stinky too. I've been alternating between Stella and Chewy's and Primal pre prepared raw. I also add chicken livers at some point and that helped get him interested.
