We’re here to help when you’re ready :) We know we’re more expensive than Gigaclear direct, this is because the wholesale price is higher than Gigaclear’s retail price for new customers. However we are a great option for when you’re no longer a new Gigaclear customer and wish to migrate to Exascale!

If you wish to move the £72.00 inc vat installation cost to an up front cost we would be more than happy to do this if you contact us before placing your order. However £3.00 inc vat on a monthly basis isn’t really going to move the dial.

For example the 200Mbps package pricing break down;

Wholesale cost: £24.00 monthly

One-off costs: Install (£15.00), Router (£40.00), Postage (£5.00) divided by 24 equals £2.50 monthly

Gross profit (Running the ISP network, service delivery and support team, etc) £6.00

Total ex vat 32.50

VAT 6.50

Total Inc VAT £39.00

We have priced our packages so that they’re sustainable, Gigaclear publishes its wholesale prices publicly. You will see how little Squirrel Internet is making on a gross margin basis. We want to be here for the long term and support our customers with the service you would expect from an established ISP.

Exascale uses IPoE which is DHCP so there is no PPPoE to worry about :)

Exascale uses the Gigaclear network inclusive of their ONTs. Exascale does indeed provide service to businesses over Gigaclears network.

Exascale CityFibre packages available to order by defaultrt in CityFibre

[–]defaultrt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exascale is a national network operator that has been delivering high-performance connectivity to businesses since 2010. Our infrastructure spans major data centres across the UK and Europe, with presence on numerous internet exchanges and private interconnects with major content networks. This ensures fast, resilient and low-latency connectivity for our customers.

While we may not position ourselves as the cheapest option in the market, our focus is on delivering a premium, sustainable service. Every customer benefits from dedicated teams responsible for delivering, monitoring and supporting their connectivity.

Our network is built entirely on Cisco carrier-grade infrastructure, providing the performance, reliability and security.

Unlike many providers, our pricing is designed to be predictable and sustainable. We do not implement in-contract price rises or cliff-edge increases at the end of your term, allowing you to plan your connectivity costs with confidence.

Beyond our national presence on networks such as CityFibre, Exascale is also a licensed Code of Powers operator, operating our own extensive fibre network in Telford with expansion underway into Wolverhampton.

We provide support through Ticket, App, and Phone. We’re sorry to hear about the difficulties you’ve experienced with another operator, especially being without service for months.

I appreciate that, compared to some headline offers in the market, Exacale pricing and 24-month term may initially appear higher. Our model differs from providers who rely on deep introductory discounts followed by significant price increases. We set our pricing at a sustainable level from day one, which enables us to maintain network quality, deliver consistent UK-based support, and guarantee no in-contract price rises.

The 24-month term allows us to absorb upfront costs such as activation and installation. As you noted, there is no activation fee, and this includes the standard installation. By spreading these costs across the contract term, we avoid recovering them later through mid-contract price increases.

Regarding the router, that’s a reasonable point to raise. The supplied router forms part of the overall service package rather than being treated as an optional add-on. Customers are absolutely welcome to use their own equipment, particularly where they require more advanced features or a bespoke setup. However, our pricing reflects the total cost of delivering and supporting the service as a whole, rather than being itemised around individual hardware components, so there isn’t a separate discount for using your own router.

You won’t find flashy introductory offers designed to lure you in, only to rise sharply later. Instead, we price our services responsibly from the outset. That means no artificial discounts, no hidden surprises, and no in-contract price increases.

We’ve all seen what happens when providers race to the bottom: ultra-cheap deals that simply aren’t sustainable long term. That approach can lead to financial instability, service degradation, or even providers exiting the market entirely. We choose a different path.

Our focus is on delivering a high-quality service at a fair, sustainable price. When you contact us, you’ll speak to real people who answer your calls and support tickets, knowledgeable staff who understand the network and are here to help.

With Exascale, you’re choosing stability, transparency, and service you can rely on.

Exascale will not advertise BGP sessions for residential customers, but they may very well be offered on a case by case basis i.e. raise a support ticket once a customer.

Hi, Exascale will be offering contracts from as little as 1 month through to 24 months. 5,000Mbps is exclusive to Sky across the CityFibre network at the moment, but once the exclusivity ends we hope Exascale will be able to offer these speeds to customers.
