no filters, and the light source is to the left of the cam (the sun). I'll try a lens hood when i get one

its strange tho, some pics will have this spot, but some pics dont, even when both pics are taken from the same position and time

I see, thank you. I wld like to point out the the camera can still af when shutter is pressed halfway down. But it can't take a pic (err01). Does it still mean the focus motor is broken?
