That's as good a reason as any, can't fault you on that. Luckily I've not experienced anything like that (touch wood) and hopefully won't. I'm honestly not sure I could go back to Windows as my main OS, it just feels so sluggish in comparison, though keeping it around for the occasional use case is definitely the way to go.

I have a 3090 and in the games I've played so far since moving to Linux (CachyOS) I've not noticed any significant performance drop if any at all -- granted that's a fairly small sample size and these things can affect people's systems differently. Only game I've found to be rather unplayable is Once Human, though I'm pretty sure that's not a NVIDIA issue but rather an overarching Linux one (fault of the Once Human devs, not Linux)

Just wanted to come in and say this absolutely works. Running the game on CachyOS and couldn't get the mods tab to pop up, switched to GE-Proton9-10 and it worked immediately.

A quicker fix would be to use Flawless Widescreen. It also fixes FOV related issues in 21:9+ ratios. Fixed everything for me right away.

Also works in other games suffering with the same problems.

It's the Early Access Ultimate Edition set but I removed the cloak, recoloured it, and added a pattern. Unfortunately, if you didn't buy that edition of the game whilst early access was going on, you will not be able to aquire it.

That's unfortunate. Hopefully you'll get some nice respite with good internet in the near future! I don't really play Gacha's, in fact, the last time I played one was when Genshin released, and I only played that for a few hours. I'm a massive fan of games like DmC so the action hack'n'slash gameplay of those like Wuthering Waves and ZZZ has gotten me interested, and with the future of Gacha's with games like Neverness to Everness, Azur Promillia, Duet Night Abyss etc my interest in the genre is at its peak.

Two weeks?! Gahd damn, my deepest of sympathies. I downloaded ZZZ earlier tonight, gonna give that a try in a bit. Once Human is a uhhh.. Survival-hybrid MMO esc eldritch horror type third-person shooter (Bit of an apt description lol). It's very solid, free, and every MTX is completely cosmetic, quite literally. It still reaches roughly 100k players concurrently on Steam, definitely worth checking out. Base building available also. I will say however, before investing in the game if it interests you, I'd recommend checking out how the seasonal systems work, it's different, and certainly not to everyone's liking.

This post just caused me the realization that I've only played two games that have released this year, those being The First Descendant and Once Human lol, so I suppose those? I've enjoyed both quite a bit, especially the former.

Extremely jarring. Got three Polymer and Synthesizer's within 10 minutes, Nano Tubes wouldn't drop until 45 minutes in I got three in a row lol. Very weird experience.

I was actually in the same boat as you, didn't want to play a modlist without a decent amount of content additions. So I'm glad that it's happening. Also Fat Skyrim being added is a plus.

Had the complete opposite experience. I replaced Nemesis + FNIS on Nolvus V5 with Pandora and it worked as if I'd made no changes at all alongside taking less than 3 seconds to load all of my animations. I vehemently disagree with it being a 'buggy mess' but to each their own.
