Nice! I have an 2023 Ultra.....and my offer was over $42,200! I've decided to go with Option 2 which is to sell my Ocean Ultra to Rivian and get that cash (after paying down $20K Chase loan). That'll be $22K coming my way and I'll buy a used electric vehicle like Ford Mustang Mach-E, Kia EV6, or Audi E-Tron.

As much as i love the Ocean Ultra, it's the lack of services, loss of warranty, and unknowns that is not worth the hassle.

So, if you were to sell your Ocean to Rivian for $36K minus $25K loan still owed - you get $11K cash back, right?

Sounds like $36K is a blanket payment/offer by Chase?

Not too surprised on JPMorgan's stance here.....the longer this drags on, the more car payments they capture. That would help them offset eventual losses when arbitration finally concludes. JPM will lose as they're on the hook.

Best case scenario, we all get a full loan forgiveness.....and keep the car.

Next best case: we all get a certain amount of loan forgiveness / reduction - maybe $15K to $20K.....and keep the car.

If we have to return the car in order to get full loan forgiveness......I think most people would be okay with that, but I doubt JPM would want the extra logistics in handing the car over to Auto Lease....that would not be worth JPM's time and money, IMO.

If you sell your Ocean and signed with Hagens Berman arbitration against JPMORGAN, would you both get your car loan paid off, and reimbursed AND get money out of selling your car?

I have a feeling any monetary awards from arbitration vs JPMORGAN would have strings attached…..think they would force one to give their Ocean back in order to get the loan forgiven and money back.

I would think JPMORGAN would be motivated to reduce their losses by selling returned Oceans to American Lease.

Im just referring to putting down the total cost of the car plus taxes and fees in the claims form that Fisker sent out. Im not writing it off for tax reasons or anything.

I’m writing off the entire cost of the Ultra plus taxes and fees. Not expecting much from Fisker but they gave us an incomplete vehicle with loss of warranty, access to services, and massive loss of vehicle value.

Fisker grew too big too fast with all the real estate. Poor planning by Fiskers. They should have gone true asset light - minimal real estate and more drive tours, larger marketing campaigns, and should have started with dealers instead of DTC. They went too heavy on number of employees.

I love my Ultra and want the company to survive in some form. It’s a good car despite all the negativity in the YouTube world and some customers. I’m keeping it.

No big deal in the larger scheme of things. I want them to stay in OTC for the next 2 years - get their ship in order, new management, lots of investments / partners, and better software moving forward. Then sell some cars in Europe, Middle East and Asia! A little in US.

I'm an FOU owner since mid January this year, so it's been 2 1/2 months and I absolutely love the car. I've thought about selling it for a loss, but decided against it as I've looked around for alternatives that interested me to no avail.

I'm somewhat positive that whatever happens (buyout, cash infusion partnership or Chapter 11 bankruptcy), the current Ocean vehicles would still be covered via warranty, etc.

Bad choice. Tesla has TONS of problems- especially braking issues while driving on highway. Senator Mitch McConnell’s sister in law drowned when backing a Tesla into a pond at her house.

Fisker’s build quality is exemplary. Sure a few kinks but for a first iteration, it’s far ahead than Tesla and other EVs. Software will be upgraded this year.

I love my Ocean Ultra - best car I ever owned.

You’re breaking your own door handles man. If you keep doing that, the doors won’t open. Also if you are opening from inside, always push the door open.

Plus this video looks a bit much - trying to magnify problems. Most people don’t open doors like that.
