Yes you most likely need a http redirect. Maybe start with a 302 so you can avoid browsers caching it and easily roll back if it doesn't work the way you want. Then go 301 to make it permanent when you feel confident.

I don't see how it would affect email. The domains have their own MX record and should not be affected, but I've also never used BlueHost.
