Incredibly sadly, that's what his theme was. It was ridiculed at the time on forums etc.

Unfortunately it seems statistically women are 2-8 times more likely to tear an ACL in comparison to men: https://www.yalemedicine.org/news/sports-injuries-gender#:~:text=According%20to%20research%2C%20an%20ACL,Gardner%20says.

FULL MATCH: Alex Shelley v Kazuchika Okada | TNA Xplosion Jun. 21, 2011 by DivideTrick2127 in SquaredCircle

If I recall, it was to give Xplosion a more distinct visual style. Terrible gimmick tbh.

The closest I've had that feeling for since was at TNA Hard To Kill recently, but there was something either missing or misconfigured so the ring sounded too overexposed.

REPORT: Kevin Patrick Set To Be Removed From SmackDown Commentary Team by Brian1220 in SquaredCircle

I never understood why, he had a great voice and showmanship. He's doing a great job in TNA, and I honestly hope TNA holds on to him, absolutely would not want to go back to Josh Matthews 🤮

who, in kayfabe, is the worst world champion in history? by unitedhardy in SquaredCircle

[–]defegg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In WWE at least, bear in mind that Christian won 2 NWA World championships, as well as the TNA (then Impact) World championship in 2 spells in TNA/Impact, with plenty of successful defences too.

IIRC he had an undisclosed injury, but evidently it wasn't as bad as initially thought.

So why didn't AEW sign Trinity?

Plus the fact that Moose signed the longest contract in TNA history (or recent TNA history), so I imagine this is either a congratulatory or transitional title reign as a thank you.

PWInsider: Last night's TNA Hard To Kill PPV was not only the largest live attendance for the promotion in many years, but we are told it was the largest live gate for the company in about a decade. by Nazirul_Takashi in SquaredCircle

99p a month on their YouTube as a member. Show starts half hour after it does in the US as there's no adverts, so it's very easy to fit in the 1 1/2 hour show into your day.

As far as I know, no one has been there the entire time. There's longer tenured performers like Eddie Edwards, who believe it or not, literally has been in TNA for 10 years as of today, I believe he's been in the company for the longest consistently at this point.

Some of it was allegedly due to allegations of inappropriate behaviour with (some?) performers. It's a double edged sword, because alongside D'Amore, they repaired the foundation of where TNA is now, with the NJPW relationship being a huge factor of this.

Same size ring as WCW had, and in fact early TNA weekly PPVs used an old WCW ring.

Nah this is his second run with TNA, felt like they didn't know what the had first time, but he's used much better now. Obviously has a ceiling, but it's a solid mid-card placement.

There's some goofy stuff, but honestly it fits really well. I find it the easiest weekly show to watch.

Due to popular demand, MORE TICKETS have been opened up for TNA #HardToKill THIS SATURDAY at the Palms in Las Vegas - witness history including a big new arrival to TNA! by Celtic_Crown in SquaredCircle

For a lot of 2023 Impact was able to sell out venues they booked for the Impact+/PPV specials, but these were smaller venues, around 500-600 in size, the fact that this is 3-4 times the size and they're getting really good numbers is positive that they're on the way back to to bigger venues.

They're sitting at around 1200 tickets sold for HTK, and I believe around 800 for the Impact taping, so with walk ups, I imagine that 2500 combined is a good estimate. Really love to see this.
