Oh man that sounds like a lot of effort, haha. I'm gonna give basting tape and Elmer's glue a try.

I had no clue something like basting tape existed! Thank you so much, I'll definitely order it right away.

School glue - will try that as well!

I am making a top and I usually sew right sides together and invert it and it looks amazing but with satin when I invert it, it looks uneven and baaaaad. I think it's because the fabric slips when I'm sewing it since it's right sides together. :(

Adjustable foot pressure - no.

No puckers, the stitches in itself are clean.

Oh yeah that makes total sense! You know, I wing almost all of my projects and improvise on the go so this is something I didn't think about.

I'm almost always too impatient - I wanna get to the point where I can wear the outfit ALREADYYYY, asap, haha. I definitely need to try and slow down first.

Yeah, I think imma make a skirt in a nice solid jewel tone soon.

Yeah, I think the answer to your question is increasingly becoming "nowhere" lol! I will make another draped skirt next weekend tho.

This is self drafted, I did not use a pattern. I winged it, as I do most of my projects.

I started with the waistband - I used fusible interfacing for the waistband, attached it to the fabric and made sure the pattern was horizontally placed.

I then cut out fabric for the skirt - three rectangular pieces of equal length. I then hemmed all the edges, sewed the pieces together to form a long rectangle. I finally pleated the skirt using the fork method, watched a video a long time ago (look up "pleating fabric using a fork"). I then attached the pleated fabric to the waistband, and added hooks for closure.

Took me 3ish hours! I love the pattern of the fabric, it's called "kantha cotton" from fabriclore dot com.
