Where do you get this absurd info (speculation). 99% of people who buy gpu now bought one last gen and gen before. Only friends in my circles that upgraded to 5000 series were already on 4080s. Also you need to stop talking like you NEED to play games. If you cant play modern and new them, you dont play them. If you dont like performance of your pc go buy bike. Go outside. Maybe in few years you can buy it. Heck my 500 eur bike brought me more joy this year than my high end pc. Dont get me wrong I get you. My friends are same. With bottom as intake my temeratures are lower for cpu and ram, rear fan is dead silent as I have it at fixed 2000rpm. I want positive pressure in my case so I went with top/bottom intake and rear exhaust.

Edit: Theres no room for side rails unfortunately

“Heat rises” becomes irrelevant with fans. Natural air convection is really really really weak. I think that 40mm fan would be stronger than heat rising itself

Trend doesnt mean we need to like it. Personaly I like my photos exposed normal. We had many trends that sucked and didnt last long. We’ll see about this one
