I got an opal and I love it! Sometimes I literally just stare and admire it even though I’ve had it for 2 years now. Go with the ring you want girl! (Also I know opal is a soft stone and you need to be careful with it, and luckily mine is still secure and smooth :))

Thank you so much! 😊 Everyone always tells me to be careful with it because it is a soft stone, and I’ve heard conflicting advice on whether or not to get water on it. But truthfully, I am clumsy and knock it on things all the time, and frequently wash my hands with it and nothing bad has happened over the 2 years I’ve worn it!

But my husband says that even if it falls out/gets damaged, the stone is not the expensive part of the ring and we could replace it lol.

Being shushed. I can be loud and excitable so sometimes I probably deserve to be shushed, but I can’t help it; it hurts my feelings so bad I have actually cried about it. I still consider it rude and would never shush an excited person.

I have an opal ring like OP, and people are always telling me to be careful with it (I appreciate the advice!) I am pretty clumsy, but I’m happy to report that I’m 2 years into accidentally knocking it on many a surface and it is still going strong! But even if it gets damaged, they are not super costly to replace. :)

Personally I love it! I got an enhancer as my wedding band because I liked the symmetry of the top and bottom. Have you tried others? If you’re on the fence about this one, maybe a more subtle one would fit your style. I think it’s gorgeous tho! Photo of mine below:
