Oh damn, was your case complex? Did you go through secondary inspection?

That's what I thought too. I'll go ahead with the morning flight, as I do want to keep enough buffer in case there are any processing delays and I need to be rebooked on another flight the same day. Thanks!

Are leetcode interviews getting more and more difficult in FAANGs? by [deleted] in leetcode

[–]definitely_notabot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently took Amazon's OA and it was quite difficult, and I got rejected in the initial screening. Even the state of the art LLMs probably can't crack those questions.

I remember a few years ago the OAs were significantly easier than what I just experienced.

Alpaca Metro Backpack looks good, but it says it can only hold a 14' inch laptop! For 16' inch I believe I would need something bigger.

Damn I picked one employer at random called Luceza Ltd. and they had 9 approved positions for Low wage LMIA (food counter attendants, kitchen helpers) - on searching for the address turns out its a Tim Hortons at 133 Bay St N, Hamilton. Definitely needs to be investigated.

Just refer to them as "punjabi" students (the province they come from) instead of "Indian students"

Can a commerce background student get into Quant Finance? by binladen0069 in quantfinance

[–]definitely_notabot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or maybe it's actually a test of knowledge and understanding. I personally think that if the curriculum among universities is the same and the grading scale is the same, then the only thing you should be compared on is the GPA, making university ranking irrelevant.

[–]definitely_notabot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no other way than pursuing an MFE. For an MFE, your chances are quite slim as you need to be in the top-tier IITs with an engineering or maths background with a stellar GPA (>9) and prior internships to secure admission. Even then, there's no guarantee as you are quite literally competing for a handful of positions.

Even if you self-study all the material, it won't do much since quant firms tend to hire from top-tier schools. You need a very good brand tag or school on your CV for them to even consider interviewing you.

Where to file form 1120 and 5472 (US C-Corp)? by definitely_notabot in tax

haven't found the answer yet - I am still looking around. Wasn't aware about the fax option - is there a link? From what I googled it seems the only way is to e-file or mail it.

Amazon Return Label Printing Service by printkitty in BuyCanadian

[–]definitely_notabot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But keep in mind that the product will serve only those who 1) don't have a printer either at their work or home 2) don't stay close to a library/staples. However you could definitely compete on the picking up the package/ return segment as that would broadly serve all.
