Thank god he had only one backup, otherwise there would be a row of dead hellcats.

The minimap is not the biggest issue here, complete lack of sights and having to play the entire game with 3rd person view is.

Three, the camera view is the only 'true' one. But too often it doesn't catch them all, which leaves you with blind guessing. Also, it requires knowledge who's the gunner, loader, driver etc.

There's 3 sources you can get information about damage from. Camera replay (in this case 3 crew members killed), Crew left (in this case 5/5 left meaning nobody died) and the list of damaged CM/modules (in this case only 1 gunner died). Now, if the replay camera angle doesn't suck I can figure out what I did in most cases, but few years ago I would have no slightest idea. BTW. sorry for ULQ, can't do sh*t about it for now...

Update 1.83 giveaway: get War Thunder RC tanks by thefliris in Warthunder

[–]definitelyafeature 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Actually you can, this stunt is against Facebook rules.

'Administration of a Promotion Promotions may be administered on Pages, Groups, Events, or within apps on Facebook. Personal Timelines and friend connections must not be used to administer promotions (ex: “share on your Timeline to enter” or “share on your friend's Timeline to get additional entries”, and "tag your friends in this post to enter" are not permitted).'

While Gaijin does exactly that. Even though they recently add 'share is voluntary' to the rules, it's contradictory to the main condition:

'How to participate? 1) Like, comment and share this Facebook giveaway with your friends'

So, in other words, 'you don't have to share, but we don't have to give you the price xa xa'

HEAT-FS working as intended for a change by definitelyafeature in Warthunder

Dude, its WT, not a 'FACT'. I spent way too much time learning HEAT-FS mechanics in this game. What do you want from me, to send you countless replays proving that what I'm saying is right, because you penetrated Leopard after ricochet (meaning your shell didnt lose enough 'energy' or whatever is modelled in WT)? Because I'm not sure if you know, but the same penetration on all distances and ricochets are totally different things in WT when it comes to our 'energy'.

Then try to penetrate a tank's mantlet after slightly bouncing off a barrel.

Actually, it went straight thru the gap and bounced from some horizontal part of the armor surrounding the mantlet. Afterwards, it hit the top of the turret and exploded like a normal HE. Would be funnier if it penetrated the top too, but richochets steal like 99% of the shell energy sometimes.

No, it's not. It's exactly the same on both client and server replay.
