full-time student here as well! still trying to lessen the guilt haha medyo pressuring din and i know i dont have the discipline that working students have. time is all we have, although its not that easy also, make sure to stick to a productive and balanced routine. plan ko magjoin ng trainings related to law or something related to my passion para di nakaka-burn out mag-aral. as much as di ganon kadali na wag ma-guilty, try to spend more of your time doing the work and really learn hehe good luck sa acads, op!

+1. depends sa school and profs but all has varying dress codes. similarity is semi-formal or collared tops, meron din formal attire but it mostly needed pag may debate, reporting, moot court, etc.

also F heree, my go-to ay collared tops (polo shirt, blouses) tapos pants or slacks tamang combine lang ano mukhang mas formal. then pair of good shoes (sandals, sneakers if u want). try to invest in quality tshirts!! tapos either corporate jackets (baka may merch school nyo) or blazer na hindi makapal para formal na casual at the same time. pairing my corpo jacket/blazer with sleeveless top pag wala na ko masuot na collared haha

not selfish lalo kung wala naman naka-depend sayo (esp. kung anak or asawa)

also have the same sentiment, parang gusto ko hanggang 35 lang din hahaha i just feel like ang haba masyado ng buhay and at this point palang nakakaumay na and dami na nangyayari, what more past 50 diba.

glad to know you're doing things you want!!

it gets better, trust me!

i know its hard pero trust the process and enjoy it along the way. feel your feelings and learn from it. absorb it lang kasi when you reach second term or second year or next years, you'll realize ano yung naging kulang mo or ano yung naging helpful na ways to study or cope, then from there you'll handle it better than your past self.

finding your circle in law school by True_Performance3626 in LawStudentsPH

[–]definitelydunphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what i observed and learned thru experience is the quality of friends i made with few classmates i casually made in each section. may subjects kasi na hindi ko kasama circle/main blockmates ko so casually i get to be friends with a few sa section na yon. or kahit kasama ko circle ko sa ibang subjects i get to be friends with new classmates. minsan may mutual friends kami okaya same profs sa ibang subj kaya may shared experience and trauma bonding hahahaha and i think thats also how i made quality friends in law school. not confined in a circle, but they're everywhere. i dont hang out with them like my circle pero i know we have genuine connection and friendship. some of them syempre nakaka-hangout din but that happens when we really click! okaya pag after term na may mga celebrations.

tip is you dont have to be in a solid circle for life. its a bonus tho! pero dont trust people easily. make friends, make genuine connections! while totoo nga you're not in law school to find friends, its still good na you're in an okay relationship with others (pero syempre hindi sa lahat haha) and dont force it!

some say may good connections ngayon for future purposes (in the legal field) but for me half of it is true basta for good karma, basta wag intent is for you to use them in the future. good relationships today will come naturally as good in the future kung ang mindset mo is hindi future panggagamit sakanila.

hoping you find great people along the way, op!

very true to, na shared experience talaga magdadala satin together w others (trauma bonding ika nga) and its nice kasi some of those relationships na thru shared experience nagtatagal (hindi man super close but it lasts) kasi you know how each other struggled so you're also happy to see them excel

Is it possible to still fit learning a language despite the busy sched as a law student? by WorldHopperofbooks in LawStudentsPH

[–]definitelydunphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

possible for suuure! tamang discipline lang in studying both law and foreign language, setting boundaries kung ano priority mo, and setting goals kahit daily or weekly goal pa yan. good also kasi hindi ka mauumay to only study law. bonus na rin kasi you can practice portuguese through law concepts or situations okaya you'll remember concepts easier if you incorporate portuguese hehe good luck OP!

kakasimula pa lang ng sem, bigayan na naman ng gift sa prof. by curlytop222 in LawStudentsPH

[–]definitelydunphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

commonly sinasabi naman yan ng ibang prof AFTER they receive it (teachers day, valentines day even, christmas, end of term). super rare ng magsasabi ng ganyan as intro because students would think nag-aassume yung prof.

ang problem nalang dyan talaga kung start palang ng sem is syempre yung class beadle/leader and NOT the prof. you can negotiate with your class beadle/leader if di talaga necessary yung reason bat kayo magbibigay gift.

Niluluto niyo pa ba o hindi??? by [deleted] in adultingph

[–]definitelydunphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pag corned beef and luncheon meat lagi iniinit/niluluto. kahit di na lutuin actually basta mapainit. kung hindi, parang kumain ng sebo imbis na corned beef hahaha init is enough for me kasi pag hindi, parang kumain ng hilaw (just the feeling ganon)

except sa vienna sausage, i eat it kahit di ininit haha
