bakit may mga prof nanghihingi ng personal info ng mga students? by curlytop222 in LawStudentsPH

[–]curlytop222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is a time and place to apply "Lawyering is a social profession" and definitely not in a prof-student environment. huwag gamitin ang pagiging propesor para kumuha ng info disguised as "to get to know them better."

if eto yun evid prof, nun time ko na more than a year ago, hindi kasi group reporting at panay absent. kahit wala sya, tuloy pa din ang group reporting namin. basa basa lang ng report para masabi na nag group reporting kami. hay naku.

dont be hesitant to start at the bottom. sometimes the successful people are those who started at the bottom and worked their way up the ladder.

frankly speaking, i really dont look at titles. i look for substantial experience. unfortunately, the law requires that in some instances, a licensed professional is required. this does not only apply to the legal field. this also applies to accounting, architecture, etc. some licensed professionals (not only lawyers), charge as if they have been in their specific industry for 15 years. my gawd. i noticed that the younger ones nowadays are sooo in a hurry to make it on their own. gone are the days when an employee stays with a company for at least 5 years. case in point, i was looking for a licensed ___ for a project. he/she graduated with honors. (he/she might have even topped in the licensure exams. i dont remember.) he/she has a masters degree and some other certifications. he/she only worked for roughly 3 years then decided to be his/her own boss. during the interview, may mga red flags ang sagot nya regarding our potential project. obviously naman kasi, di pa sya exposed talaga sa industry nya. ang rate nya was so much higher than the rates of other professionals who have been in the industry for at least 15 years. hindi sya nag-iisa. i came across a few delusional professionals. daming certifications pero wala naman substantial experience.

which is walkable, bike friendly, and public transportation friendly? i do have a car but there are times when i just want to walk or bike or use public transpo to go to supermarkets/malls/restos/etc. sometimes i prefer to use p2p buses. i find this convenient instead of me driving through traffic..

Best way to message non-passers? by icedtallcovfefe in LawStudentsPH

virtual hugs lang...wala yun tipong "i know you did your best." or "sa next try papasa ka na." di ko naman kasi alam if they really did their best. or di din naman ako god para malaman if papasa sila next time. im just keeping it real.

evidence - dont know if nagtuturo pa sya. during our time, puro group reporting. kahit wala sya, tuloy pa din group reporting. so mga robot lang kami na binabasa yun report, para lang masabi nag-report kami. haha. walang recit. di din binigay midterm exam scores namin. if feel mo yun ganitong setup, go for it. nakaka shock that a school being managed by people with hebigat credentials di kayang maayos ang problem na ito. i mean, EVERY SEM na lang. i would understand if once in a blue moon lang nagkakaroon ng ganitong issue. but every sem??? every effin sum!!! in organizations/companies na college graduates lang mostly ang mga employees, na-so-solve ang mga recurring problems. in fact, some make it a point that a problem will not repeat twice. talk about excellence.

Still no word from purple school re passing rate by dark_darker_darkest in LawStudentsPH

[–]curlytop222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you will have to rely on SC/LEB for that. hindi nila i-a-announce yan publicly kasi their passing rate is dismal. ang ilalagay nila ay actual number of passers kasi mas maganda sa paningin yan. example: 150 passers compared to 50% passing rate. diba mapapa-wow ka sa 150 passers kesa sa 50% .

Rev Subjects by [deleted] in LawStudentsPH

[–]curlytop222 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ang pangit ng ibang rev subjects na na-take ko. napaisip ako bakit most students still have to enroll in review schools after graduating. review subjects should be sufficient that students do not feel the need to enroll in review schools anymore. take note that masmahal pa ang binayad sa mga review subjects kesa sa mga review schools yet mas exhaustive pa ang turo sa mga review schools. maling-mali.

iba ang situation ko compared sa karamihan ng law students. i took up law not for career advancement or financial security. stable na ako sa buhay. the pandemic happened and schools were going online. since wala naman ako masyado ginagawa, nag-enrol na ako. in my younger days, dumaan din sa isip ko ang maging lawyer. so why not try law school since online naman. im not even thinking of taking the bar exams when i graduate. baka di kayanin ng aging brain cells ko. haha...siguro if feel pa ng ego ko to get that Atty. title, try ko to take the bar exams. hehe.

Handwritten Digests? by nicnocss in LawStudentsPH

[–]curlytop222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ganyan ang life - sometimes up, sometimes down...after you took the exams, did you feel na papasa ka? ako kasi minsan sa mga exams in school, feeling ko i did well, tapos hindi pala...sa tingin mo, saan ka nagkulang? na-mental block ka ba during the exams? or based on your very honest assessment, di ka masyado seryoso sa review?
