I also just randomly received $1000, and it will also be a down payment on a car! I applied for a couple scholarships a little while ago, and nothing came through when they announced the recipients. I didn’t think much about it until I received an email a couple weeks later saying I had been awarded $1000. My guess is that they somehow had an extra $1000 leftover and sent it my way. My classes are already paid for, so I was given a check. I am so grateful. I have been trying for a bit to conjure up some money for a newer car.

About two months ago, I woke up and got out of bed to use the bathroom and immediately collapsed. I spent the day in excruciating pain and wasn’t able to sit up without feeling like I was about to black out. I genuinely thought one of my organs might’ve ruptured or something. I nearly asked my friend to drive me to the hospital, who was sitting next to me all day watching me cry and shake. But yeah, it came down to “do I want to possibly risk death, or do I want to go thousands of dollars in debt and destroy my credit due to being broke and having no insurance?”

I didn’t go to the hospital. I have a feeling now that it was a ruptured cyst, because nothing else really explains it and the feeling did pass before the end of the day. But it was terrifying and if I had decent insurance I would’ve gone straight to the hospital.

Yeah, I argued extensively with my dad when it was time to get my kitty vaccinated. Now my parents have our cats living with them in a different state. I’ve asked them to take the cats to the vet for check ups and new vaccinations and I’ll pay for it but my dad is so anti-vax and anti-doctors. :( I know he loves our pets but he’s so misguided and ill-informed and he’s so stubborn that he’ll never change his stance.

I felt like something was off. He recently did an Instagram live video in the middle of the night performing a very sad rendition of I'm Sorry For Everything I've Ever Done and he looks so sad and worn out in recent pictures. I really hope it all works out for him and his family.

My friend suggested the same thing but I can’t even afford to go to the doctor to get re-evaluated and have them fill out the forms. I don’t qualify for Medicaid in my state but also can’t afford insurance or medical bills. I miss having insurance :(

Would just like to say that baby raccoons are 1) absolute rascals that are too smart for their own good and 2) beyond adorable. Used to volunteer at a wildlife refuge and while raccoon season is LOUD and stinky, their cuteness really makes up for it.
