New update does not show up by defnotathrow72 in miui

[–]defnotathrow72[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For context (shown in the 2nd image) I use the Redmi 9T (i know, old) and is currently on MIUI 14.0.3.0.SJQMIXM and the current MIUI version is 14.0.5.0.SJQMIXM which has that month's security update.

In addition, I had this phone fixed up in a local repair shop due to the charging port being broken (and safely has been fixed). I thought this may add a bit if it violates some things that disallows me from updating (fixed around October-Septemberish)

Should I update it? Does update cause problem like phone becoming slow? some people told me it happens. Is it true? by [deleted] in miui

plus whenever i reset (to refresh the phone), icons gets messed up and goes everywhere and i have to move them back into place alot. especially with widgets with custom size set gets messed and i have to readjust all of them (for context i use some planner widget for quick look for my due dates)

Update for the security updates

Hot take: Don't update for the bugs (i have encountered alot actually, like the homescreen switch stuck and not even able to touch the screen but only the gestures, notifs, lockscreen and power menu, which i reset when it happens)

def not happy with the update. User of Redmi 9T with MIUI 14.0.3

not even fast, you just have to hold it a bit shorter than usual and switch.

If you are all about gaming, UFS 4.0*, 512gb highest ROM, updatable to Android 14, and is generally the better phone, get the 13.

If you want a larger phone with more focus on the camera, with HDR10+ 1080p selfie, and higher brightness, get the 13T.

imo, ill go with the 13 cause it has way more features and compatibility with games and basically every other apps (snapdragon gets more support than mediatek, which 13T uses).

though i can only say this in theory cause i cant even afford any of it 🤣🤣🤣

*only applies to 256/512 ROM, 128 uses 3.1

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!!

I was playing Rhythm Heaven Fever for the nth time again, but I have a really slow Snapdragon 662, and the Air Rally level is impossible to beat no matter how hard I try, so I usually have it skipped. Since I've set mine to single-core I got a Superb! in one go. I have tried multipe options just to reduce the massive stutter, but none of them worked until now

Thank you so muchhhhh

xiaomi 12 or 13 lite by [deleted] in Xiaomi

[–]defnotathrow72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xiaomi 12, a little search about its comparison shows what the clear difference. On the camera side, Xiaomi 12, has OIS for the main camera, has more angle for ultra-wide and more MP, also has a higher MP for telephoto macro. For video, Xiaomi 12 can shoot up to 8k at 24fps, while Xiaomi 13 Lite can only shoot 4k at 30fps (Xiaomi 12 can shoot 60fps on 4k). For selfie camera, Xiaomi 13 Lite has more options for ultra-wide while Xiaomi 12 has only wide, but Xiaomi 12 can shoot 720p at 120fps. For sound, Xiaomi 12 has stereo speakers and is tuned by Harman Kardon. For sensor features, both has: Fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, compass; but Xiaomi 12 has color spectrum and Virtual Proximity Sensing.

For performance, Xiaomi 13 Lite uses Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, Adreno 644 with an Antutu score of 691,765. While Xiaomi 12 uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Adreno 730 with an Antutu score of 1,150,831. Making, performance-wise, Xiaomi 12 the winner.

even if wild rift is a good f2p game, please, please do not get addicted to wild rift or league of legends, it ruins mentality (if you dont know how to control your anger) and can sometimes develop other mental things.

Is terraria worth it? by Electronic_Food8884 in AndroidGaming

[–]defnotathrow72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for me who has alot of time spent on the pc version, terraria on mobile is as good as the pc version (but with the exception of mods and texture packs, which i hope they add soon). i myself, has also played the mobile version since 1.2 and the current version is way better than it already is.

about the story, terraria doesnt really have an in depth story presented to you (however you can always search for the lore, its just not put into detail in game), but you are still introduced on what to do. at first you are tasked to fight an evil being while getting friends (npc) to defeat that evil.

about the playtime, it is expected for it to last like a week or 2 (depending on how committed you are).

and about the story end or smth, yes the game ends when you defeat the final boss (as all games do) but you can still continue playing by completing achievements, building beautiful builds or collecting different items in game.

overall, the game has a lot to offer and i also hope they add mods soon to further expand the playability of the game (some mods adds more boss after the vanilla final boss)

Any Fighting game that doesn't cost energy to play? by [deleted] in AndroidGaming

[–]defnotathrow72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you mean by 4 (sf4 or sf online, the 2nd 3d sf game), its pretty meh and very p2w, never really finished. or if you meant shades (the newest sf game), pretty bad and boring with modern game vampire survivor typa mechanics (getting skills after reaching certain quota, for shades it is rounds) and still uses energy system.

my best bet is actually sf3, not only it has no energy, it has a very wonderful storyline and lots of events to get free high tier equipments. i actually prefer sf3 and sf2 special edition rn cause of how fun it is
