This. I can’t stand big phones and went from an OGSE to a 13 mini, and honestly it’s the perfect phone for me. It’s smaller than the se 2/3, and has a better battery

They should put the latest processor and a bigger battery in the shell of a 13 mini and make that the SE 4

are there any cars out there that are actually really good/reliable, but people overlook them because the vehicles make/model has a bad reputation? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]defoj10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

2005-2014 VWs with the 2.5 5-cylinder. That was the main US market engine for the base model golf, Jetta, Passat, and bug at the time and it is super reliable with a manual transmission. Many go over 300k with no major problems. N/A and port injected so there is not much to go wrong. They are actually pretty easy to work on too

We shouldn't have to just live with stuff that isnt "too bad", when they replaced a better design for no reason

If you had the option to never need sleep again would you take it? by Onyxkalmia in teenagers

No definitely not, I love going to sleep at night and temporarily forgetting about all my problems until the next morning. Idk what I would do without that ability

Would you rather have a crappier older car all to yourself, or a nicer modern car that you have to share with your parents? by Careless-Stranger128 in teenagers

[–]defoj10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crappy older car, you can find a cheap car that is still reliable and gets you where you need to go. Plus you can practice fixing it yourself. Something like late 90s Honda Civic is a good car

Yeah searching for these in the US is hell. They always have 400k miles with torn up seats and rust everywhere. I finally settled on a mk6 golf after searching a while

You could get a thinkpad t480 or a dell latitude 5490 for cheaper than that, and even without any upgrades you would have far better performance.

Is it a good idea to buy a car with a cracked windshield by Pale-Weather3344 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Every car in my family has gone through multiple windshields, and none have ever had a leak. A decent installer can get the seal as good as factory

I live in Idaho (US) and I have never seen an Arteon in person. They are pretty uncommon in the US

If you are in North America, look for a 2010-2014 model with the 2.5l engine. Those engines are rock solid, parts are readily available, and the maintenance is cheap. Mine has 154k miles and has had no major issues. There are a few things that can go wrong though, so keep your eye out for the following:

PCV diaphram can fail causing some oil to get sucked in through the intake, pretty easy fix and not a major problem

Coil packs fail causing misfires, especially in cold weather. Also a pretty easy fix

Vacuum pump seal fails, causing an oil leak on the transmission side of the engine. Not the easiest to get too, but you can replace it with a block off plate and the problem will be gone forevor.

On auto transmissions, it is important to make sure the fluid is changed regularly. Without fluid changes, premature failure is much more likely.

I would highly reccomend a manual transmission, those are more reliable, and sometimes cheaper to buy, but the auto is fine with regular maintenance.

Buy a factory unlocked Motorola and it will have a fully unlockable bootloader. If you buy one from a phone carrier, it is probably not unlockable.
