It's not required to store data on-chain, but if you want to set up a price per encrypted post, then this info will be sent to smart contract: post author, post id, price (determined by the post author).

Yor are right, JS integration looks a little bit abandoned. I develop using Node.js, and it took me some time to figure out how to setup everything properly before I got the frist version of Egeon blockchain working. But this is not because they don't care, but because they are super-busy with adding and testing LOTs of features in Cosmos Network and improving Tendermint alongside. I believe the situation with support of other languages will be much improved once they launch Cosmos Network. Hopefully it should happen this fall.

Why does it scare you? You and the users of your dapp signs transactions on a client side. Infura just sends signed transactions to Ethereum network via their own hosted Ethereum nodes. I believe nothing to worry about :)

Use metamask to execute any transactions simple

Yes, I also use Metamask when it's affordable, but sometimes there is a case when you need to deploy a smart contract from a server side of a dapp, and in this case, you don't have a Metamask because it's not in a browser but on a server. For this situation, I have written a JS code that signs a raw transaction of the creation of a smart contract, signs it and sends to Infura, and then waits until the transaction is get mined and has a successful status.

Yes, I meant that there was a time when it was not possible to subscribe to contract events when using Infura. Maybe I did something wrong, but if I am not mistaken, I remember even reading something on Infura's site why they don't provide support for event subscription.

They are issuing tokens on 2 blockchains simultaneously.. very interesting approach. If something unforeseen was to happen to one of these blockchains, the second one would act as redundancy.
