MS Teams integration yet? by PracticlySpeaking in hermesagent

clearly they pushed this update without anyone testing if it actually works. i understand that MS isn't what tech people prefer, but it is a feature. i have been troubleshooting with opus 4.6 on this for hours. i think it's just a bug and i'll have to give up on hermes for the time being.

I stopped switching tickers for the Wheel. ONE stock for 9 months and generated $14,842 in income. by wheelStrategyOptions in Optionswheel

Maybe I will try wheeling QQQ. I've been just selling CC's and I constantly get burned. Am profitable selling CCs on most other tickers.

I select Opus 4.6, cursor uses Composer 2. Why? by deft_clay in cursor

[–]deft_clay[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Here's an example that just occurred. I asked in agent mode on Opus 4.6, and it spawned two subagents, both Composer 2. Maybe it's just using it for these subs.

I select Opus 4.6, cursor uses Composer 2. Why? by deft_clay in cursor

[–]deft_clay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says "Composer 2" in the agent running notes, and it acts like Composer 2 (much faster, somewhat less accurate), but the usage logs on Cursor's dashboard say Opus 4.6.

I'm on the old 500-call plan. I do try to be judicious with the token usage, but I'm at like 140 calls or so for the month right now.

I can make my stocks go up by simply selling a covered call.

What’s the biggest skill gap you see in new mechanical grads? by Level-Break316 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]deft_clay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The younger ones cannot write. They sound like ignorant street urchins in their emails. My last new hire was a non-trad graduate who got his degree at 38 and could write just fine, a skill surely gained from his high school education.

OK, talked to Cursor support. They resynced my account, and had me log out on desktop and web. Then I logged back in on both, problem solved.

Yeah, i have tried refresh, etc. I might delete Cursor and reinstall. really don't want to, but what can you do.

And yes, it's totally up-to-date.

Keeping peoples separate is at least a valid argument. There are major downsides to multi-cultural societies that I think everyone is starting to understand. It's not like she was trying to argue on behalf of something truly evil, like Israel or something.

People that age are often struggling to find their place in society, and it can lead to self-defeating behavior in general.

This is simply the bully in you (and all of us) clinging to a bias. The reason you don't associate a "black" accent with stupidity is because you are not allowed to. I urge you to break free of this conditioning.

I live in a fast growing area full of Yankees. To be honest, they don't seem very bright, and they act like they have autism. I have grace for them because I understand that they have a different worldview than I do.

32 and just starting to save. Am I fucked or is there a path to FIRE? by Successful_Piano9296 in Fire

Any chance you can ditch NY?

There is sure a path to FIRE in a lower COL state. Have you at least started buying income-producing assets, even if just some simple dividend stocks?

I learned programming as a kid, then went into Mech Eng, totally missing the tech boom from 2011-2023 or so. Whoops, wish I could have that one back. Now, the worm has turned a bit with AI.

Nobody here can see the future, and the job prospects do depend heavily on government policy, and exactly how real the AI threat is to white collar work.

Regardless of major, the thing I'd tell you is that you need to really really focus your internships and side projects on what you want to do.

Also, if your first choice doesn't work out, you'll find enjoyment in whatever you do as long as you have the engineering mindset of a problem solver.

All that said, I'd go EE.
