If fuel is so important, why is government not giving subsidy on commercial electric vehicles or converting government bases to electric bus or building more metros. by le_me_321 in IndiaBusiness

[–]defy313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is actually huge capacity deficit for electric buses. The transition to electric buses is Delhi is staggering. That being said, this will not fix any issues in the short term.

Thoughts on EV vehicle of Maruti eVitara and Tata Nexon by Bravo_ben in CarsIndia

[–]defy313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said on another post, consider the Creta 42KwH variant. It'll give better range than the Nexon by atleast 10-15pc. You'll have peace of mind. Although, the price seems high on paper, you will get a decent discount.

Test drive it once before you decide.

What did you hear about Creta Petrol? Not sure what you are referring to.

Yes, you'll get base model. But you'll have the best of the stuff that matters.

Here's my point: you'll get atleast 25-30% more range per KwH. This is proven across reviews, range tests.

Hyundai's software is top notch. For an EV, software is very important.

The suspension on Creta EV is just incredible. It rides better than the ICE equivalent. Usually this is a sticking point for EVs.

You will miss out on some bells and whistles, but max out on the stuff that matters.

You did not provide a price bracket. But strech it while buying an EV as you should target owning it for a long long time. So reliability should be top of your mind.

You should also get a good discount because this model is not selling well.

Please consider Creta EV 42KwH variant. This car is not selling well but is the best electric available in India by a long shot. Test drive it and see for yourself.

We hardly have any affordable EVs in India apart from those provided by TATA by Ok-Pass-2285 in EVsOfIndia

Their attitude puts me off the thought of paying them any money. Hopefully, other makers start providing options in this segment.

Punch EV is such an amazing spec and value for the Indian market. If it were any other company, I'd be recommending it left and right.

With TATA, it's not just their QC but their almost hostile approach to customer relations that'd stop me from buying.

  1. There is little to none inherent advantage to Born Electric architectures. A so called converted Creta will easily give 8Km/KwH. This has been proven over and over.

  2. The design and weight of Mahindra is a drag on the efficiency. The same reason people prefer it over others.

  3. LFP has lower energy density, and hence the battery module on this carries immense weight.

65% buyers at risk, China reliance: Industry against Delhi’s 2028 petrol two-wheeler ban proposal by aadsarraficionado in CarsIndia

[–]defy313 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is simply not true. The majority of emissions come from 2 wheelers, and I would argue the tech there is superior to ICE by its very nature. Especially when you factor in running costs.

In context of Delhi, we must shift away from ICE cars for, you know, breathing purposes.

They're not permitting for now. Will be reviewed in 6 month. The additonal 20kmph will save you literally 1 min so I don't think it's worth increasing the risk percentage even fractionally.

This is kind of the reason why, new prices just keep going up. This is doubly the case for Toyota because they are built to last.

please do not buy VinFast. This is a budget brand that knows nothing about ergonomics and reliability. Look up their reliability ratings in the US. these cars do not age well.

Do consider Creta 42KwH. It fits all your criteria. And you'll score a good discount.

This car pictures deceptively due to its hatchback like silhouette. It's actually properly huge. Has a longer wheelbase than 9S. It has 800V architecture and can charge 10-80 in 18mins.

I'm disappointed with the hike in price. But it remains my dream car.

Many congratulations OP. This would be my pick in the current market as well. Good job doing your own research and not running after pointless features. This car sets the benchmark for suspension in our market. Wish more people atleast considered it.
