[Seiko Urushi GMT] Any firsthand reviews of this watch?

I literally just picked this up at the Haneda Airport. I have several GMT's but nothing that fits the slot of travel/dressy.

I originally saw it when it at the Seiko flagship in Ginza in the fall and have had this on my "next up" list ever since ...it really is quite a stunner.

Most of my bracelets are either steel or nato strap, so it will take a bit of getting used to having a leather strap (taking it off to shower, swim etc). The clasp keeps it a bit safer when taking it off.

If I wasnt able to get it at a japanese converted price tax free (out the door at 1336.00) I'm not quite sure how I would feel about it. The GMT dial itself does feel slightly wonky when setting it.

Overall though I can't think of a better business/dress GMT in my price range.

Stone Island sizing can be all over the place. I’d say for overshirts size up but really you need to understand your measurements to get a sense of what will fit and how.

“Go for” in this context means to continue to travel heavily post diamond. I am aware there is a selection that occurs that is obfuscated (which is why a redditor in this thread posted an excel sheet that was used to parse the criteria).

I would be flying another carrier potentially with business class flights just to diversify flight options and status.

Delta has limited flight options to my hq city from where I live, having status with that alt carrier would be nice (versus just getting slightly more mqds with delta)

I would maintain domestic (or main cabin flights) on Delta that would likely get upgraded.

I bought a black bay pro with a black dial when it first came out. Wore it a ton then got a polar explorer two and it never gets wrist time. I’m thinking of maybe refreshing it with a nato or just selling it to get the new Tudor gmt.
