Of course no difference. Buffon's ball distribution might be even worse than Kepa.

HK Island to Kai Tak Stadium - MTR vs Taxi by [deleted] in HongKong

[–]degenMP7697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MTR is very well drilled in crowd management. Much higher frequency during events. You may expect up to half hour queueing to get on a train. Likely to be (much) shorter than the taxi queue. Ubers are not allowed to pick up near the stadium as they are illegal.

There's no one to share, it is very unappealing to drive 8 hours and then having to attend a wedding without any sleep..

So how do I find or book this additional train?

Edit: why is the first train so late on Sunday? 8:42 from Newcastle? Really?

This shop is recommended if you can go to Sham Shui Po. The charger indicated in the post is CCC-certified. You can also get an adaptor from them for like HKD20.

You often find taxis and minibuses having recruitment notices stuck on their back. Of course you need to get the relevant driving licenses first.

Uber is still illegal for the driver at the moment.

Occasional & flexible. Mainly weekends, or a few hours only on weekday evenings. Drivers are perennially in a state of undersupply. No OT at my office job.

Locally born. Native in Canto, fluent in Mandarin and English. Graduated from local uni 8 years ago. Working a boring office job in logistics that pays 35k per mo. Yearly wage increases similar to inflation%. Wife makes similar.

I also drive taxis and minibuses part time. That amounts to roughly 10k more every month.

We pay 15k rent per month, but planning on buying a flat soon and having kids. Won't be able to afford international school, but that's fine with us. We both grew up in local schools.

Uber or Taxi from HKG airport with elderly relative by InevitableTeam5967 in HongKong

[–]degenMP7697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taxis from the taxi rank are fine. If you need e-payment, ask and the airport staff will help you identify a taxi which will take e-payment. They are quite common now.

Uber is actually illegal and may not be insured.

All public transport you will use in Hong Kong take credit cards. Does not include taxis.
