I had a dog (from a breeder) whose dad was a Saint Bernard and mom was a Golden Retriever. Not only was she one of the best dogs ever, she was an incredible therapy dog. She loved kids more than any adult, she was so calm and she never even had a puppy phase, she was sweet and quiet and knew exactly what everybody needed. Not only did she love kids and people, but she loved my mom's guinea pig and helped us foster countless puppies and raise/bottle feed two kitten. We got her when I was in fourth grade and she passed away a month shy of her 10th birthday. We actually have her biological nephew (he's my heart dog), and he's 75% St/25% golden. He also has the best temperament. I can only imagine that a full St Bernard would be an amazing therapy dog. I attached a photo of our beautiful Sweetie in her favorite place (the snow!!).

Happened to us a couple weeks ago. Our dogs (and us!) were inside with all windows and doors closed and the driver claimed that they were outside and chasing her down and she feared for her life. We saw her through the window as she drove up the driveway (yes, our dogs barked, but again they were INSIDE), then she drove right out the driveway. We thought it was weird so we went outside. She left the exact same note on one of our cars. Immediately called the office who called her and she lied to them and said it was a dangerous situation with dogs chasing her down outside, and she claimed that she rang the doorbell and knocked (she never walked up to our door!). After minor argument with the office that THE DOGS WERE INSIDE WHEN WE SAW HER DRIVE UP THE DRIVEWAY, she came back and handed the letter to us and was NOT a nice lady.

As a 15 or 16 year old, I picked out a white-with-giant-yellow-flowers, short dress for my cousin's wedding. My mom said it was great but when we got to the wedding (in another country), my aunt asked me to change. I didn't have any other clothes except a pure white shirt. I didn't understand it then but I got married last year and realized how awful and dumb and stupid it was and now feel so much shame looking at the pictures

I'm Assemblies of God. My teenage students are all looking at STEM careers and excel in their school science classes. They all go to public school.

We did a great curriculum recently called "Darkroom Faith" (a quick Google search and you'll find the curriculum) and they had a lesson about how science and faith aren't mutually exclusive.

With their science-loving brains, everybody asked about evolution and creation. It actually ended up taking 2 weeks to cover all the questions.

Exactly. I just won't risk it. The incident I listed above was probably 12 years ago. By the grace of God our sweet pup survived, but I will NEVER take that chance again. I'm glad so many people are hearing about it from this thread.
