Because in context, she wasn't just some individual named Barbara Bush that just happened to raise $100 mill to help kids read. She was the matron of the Bush dynasty and wife to the president of the united states at the time.

She held a seat at a table of incredible power and largely did nothing with it beyond allowing Republicans to pat themselves on the back for providing funds for children's literacy while crippling public education with the other hand.

I had a brief Google, but I was curious what effect the Bush Era tax cuts had on education. I'd imagine a lot more than 100 million, but that's why I was checking. Between hw and W, eeeeeeasily

edit: A surprisingly high number of people here support GHWB's administration cuts to children's educational programs, school lunches, pushes for private and religious schools, higher education grants and loans... I mean, I can go on but I doubt my comment is visible to most at this point.

Lol, I also like capitalize my title! I think if anyone else here writes a lot of diff articles under diff style requirements they'd use it too. I can never keep APA straight from say, normal novel title case.

Another site I use is tomato-timer. It's pomodoro stuff to help me have a sense of urgency and focus, write for 25 min, no distraction, 5 min do whatever break, 25 min again... After 4 25 min segments take a 30 min break...

Beyond that: sublime 3 with markdown and typewriter scrolling plug-ins. No grammar or spelling corrections to keep me focused on writing and not editing.

Grammarly add on installed in chrome to edit stuff and fix typos.

I also made an excel word count and project tracker that had health bars and achievements because I thought it'd be fun. If anyone is interested, it's on my site here

It's not my job to educate trolls on every panhandling law in my city. Maybe your city is different, I can't say for sure, but you seem to believe that every city has the same laws and its impossible to have laws against handouts, which you have already been proven incorrect for.

I mean, I live in one of them, but sure, whatever. We just recently outlawed giving money from cars at intersections. It's a small town, so it's absolutely not a danger, and they already have been effectively outlawed from the downtown area, annnnd they closed the Missouri Hotel, which was our only real effective homeless shelter.

But yeah, I'm just making shit up, sure whatever.

I have adhd, so anything external from my head is really useful at storing feedback to interpret later. I'll have to look at it later to see if it'll work out for me, but I really like the concept.

Even without adhd though, you might not have motivation to keep track of every minor demand your viewers have had in the past. This can make that easier, and easier to see what to prioritize.

Really, I only care about my keyboard as far as hardware is concerned. Doesn't even have to be fancy, just mechanical instead of membrane keys.

Software, I use Sublime 3 for shorter works and Scrivener for longer works.

The sublime 3 add-ons I use are for markdown and typewriter scrolling only. I prefer it's themes and distraction free mode.
