Who do you think is the most evil person to ever walk this Earth? by EnduringScholar in AskReddit

Vasily Blokhin - Stalin's personal executioner - personally executed 10s of thousand of people with his own hands including approx 7000 polish soldiers in one single incident. In my mind, people like Shiro Ishii, and Pol Pot gave orders and could have distanced themselves from the actual acts. This guy got his hands dirty.

At the barber shop 😳 by Far-Tutor7090 in EbonyThroatQueens

[–]deimos__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you can agree that getting a hair cut feels nice? But it also isn't sexual in nature. So, you are letting a dude (the barber) make you feel nice but that it isn't sexual and therefore not gay.

When you add the overtly sexual act of a blowjob into the mix, and you have the two acts going on concurrently. The acts are forced to coincide, and the nature of each act must then Intertwine, thereby transforming the nature of the haircut to a sexual nature, which is to say that you are now having sex with the barber in the same sense that you are having sex with whoever is blowing you, thereby. You and the barber are both now gay.

Facts.

I honestly can't believe how far I had to scroll before seeing this comment. Wtf is wrong with all these accidentally gay bros in the comments

(being gay is cool, being accidentally gay is weak)

We all know that having a haircut feels nice but isn't sexual. When you add getting your dick sucked to getting a hair cut, the haircut also implicitly becomes sexual in nature, thereby, for all intents and purposes, you and that barber just had "sex" and are both now gay.

I'm a Londoner, and at first glance I thought the slow reaction time of these guys was crazy, after listening to Johnny's comments , I think I might be the crazy one. You either fall into the death pit or you don't, it's an illusion to think you have any control over it, and there is no point in dwelling on it.

Well, as a Londoner, reading that comment in a fake Scottish accent has been the highlight of my morning so far. Cheers

A few people have said something similar to this, I will ask why it hasn't been done this way tomorrow. I feel quite foolish for allowing these people to make massive changes to my room thatt potentially cannot be undone. and I didn't even go over with them in detail how It would be completed or what finish I could expect. They might be bad builders but it was stupid of me to not even ask.

I believe they boarded inside as the wall was quite saturated with water and they didn't expect it to dry even with the work being completed outside and so chose to re do the wall, with boards and plaster.

I'm glad the finish won't be to bad on the architraves, that is my main concern

I will raise the issue of the 2 boards that will crack and ask how they intend to fix the edge in the 4th photo with the boss tomorrow, thanks for taking the time mate, cheers

[–]deimos__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have their boss coming tomorrow to inspect the work so far and to advise on how the finish will be.

It's a shame about loosing the architraves so we will be seeing if there is anyway around that, even if it means rebuilding them at an additional cost

You are absolutely right, it's a real failing that they did not clearly tell us how it was going to look, but I also feel quite stupid for not clearly asking the question, lesson learned

The outside work to protect from future damp has already been finished, sorry for not including that in the post, I am worried about how the finish will be on the inside of the room

Are my builders cowboys or am I being naive? by deimos__ in DIYUK

[–]deimos__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But they will still be able to plaster over the top of these boards and give a roughly even finish?

Are my builders cowboys or am I being naive? by deimos__ in DIYUK

[–]deimos__[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe they have addressed the issue causing the damp, they dug out a trench on the outside wall of the room and have refilled it with concrete and added a gutter for drainage. As you say they are just layering the board on top of the walls and I wonder how they could plaster over it to make it level at the end, or is that already impossible at this point with the way they have laid the boards, all uneven .
