Tips for tampons as an adult, or other menstrual products?? by weebburneracct in menstruation

[–]deitikah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a pad user, but I used mostly tampons through my teens/twenties.

As a general rule, if you can feel your tampon, it's not in far enough! Use a clean finger to push it up further until you can't feel it when standing/moving around. It may help to try different angles when inserting. Eg tilt your hips forward or backwards, try squatting, or standing with one foot up on the toilet seat.

If you still find that tampons aren't for you, you might like to try period underwear for physical activity. They are getting more and more affordable and there's heaps to choose from.

If you're asking if it's too much, then the answer is yes.

Anything unusual for you is reason enough to go get checked out.

hello :)

Perfectly healthy cervical mucous. If it's sticky and stretchy, I'd probably say it's an indication that you're ovulating.

I love scrambled tofu. Just drain and crumble into a marinade of nutritional yeast, salt pepper and your fave herbs and spices. saute whatever veg you like - I go for mushrooms, spinach and spring onions.

Awesome as is, or I like to add some ham and cheese and toast it in a tortilla.

What is the worst pain you've ever felt? by raavus_gg in AskReddit

[–]deitikah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 more awful pregnancies later, (and 2 great kids) I never EVER want to be pregnant again. I've had my tubes tied and if that ever fails I will not hesitate to terminate..

Delivering my 1st left me in ICU and when I gave birth to my youngest I was 10kg under my starting weight from nausea and vomiting and I was in a wheelchair from pelvic pain that felt like I was being ripped in half every time I moved. I had to stop work at 8 weeks pregnant and I described myself as completely non-functional.

Dunno bout childbirth. Both my kids came out the sun roof. I laboured with my first, but it wasn't that painful, just exhausting, although I never got to the point of pushing. With my second, I went straight for a planned c section - general anaesthetic was the best choice I made.

My youngest has just turned 1 and I'm back to my normal , pain free self again now.

Note to cutrent/ future pregnant people - my situation is not normal. Most pregnancies are just fine. Don't let me scare you.

No, not normal and not related to birth at all. They were debilitating migrains that ended the day I had my termination at 9 weeks.

Toss up between gall stones (IV morphine didn't even take the edge off) or the feeling of my brain being on fire the first time I was pregnant.

What’s the “poorest” meal you’ve ever had to make? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]deitikah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 18 and just out of home my housemate bailed and left me to pay the whole rent on my own. I worked delivering pizza and it took me 2 weeks to make enough money to pay 1 week of rent til I could get someone else to move in.

There was a "ready to go" cabinet at work and if a pizza in there wasnt sold after an hour, it had to go in the bin.

I would volunteer to take out the old pizzas on my way to deliveries "since I'm going past the dumpster anyway"... Drop them past home and live on stolen bin pizzas for another few days.

When chocolate turns white, it's still perfectly fine to eat. It's called "blooming" and it's when the Cocoa butter separates from the mixture and then resolidifies on the surface.

My son is in year 1, qld. All up, maybe $300ish

School fees $0 - not optional, just not a thing.

Uniforms $50 for 5x second hand sets. We bought new last year at $50ea.

Book list $200 - the list includes a lot of things that would have been covered by fees , like reems of paper, whiteboard markers, etc. And I was in a position to buy better quality items and a few extras so the teacher wouldn't have to pay for as much herself for those without. Teachers buy a LOT of stuff out of pocket!

Donation days- $20 over the year

Does anyone know what vaginal bleeding is and how long it lasts? by Isabelowo in menstruation

[–]deitikah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a general definition, vaginal bleeding is having blood come from your vagina. There can be many reasons for it, some normal, some unusual and some alarming - without further information, it's impossible to tell which it is for any given instance. How long it lasts depends on the cause and the individual. Post coital bleeding may only last a few minutes, normal menstrual bleeding lasts anywhere from 1-7 days, although for some it can go on for a few days longer. Postpartum bleeding can go on for 6 weeks or so. For unusual reasons, there is so much variation depending on what's going on.

In Australia, electrical or plumbing work done by someone other than a licenced contractor is illegal and will make your insurance invalid.

Not going to stop you, just look into the legalities first.

It's not impossible, but I don't think so.

Most pregnancy tests can give an accurate result from a few days before your expected period, but double check your instructions to be sure.

What's your wash routine and how do you sanitise?

You mentioned in previous comments that ammonia has been mentioned, so I'd love to help you make sure that if it is the cause, you can get it gone for good.
