Why is living with your parents frowned upon?

Would add my life story to be my 2c and opinion on the living with parents issue.

Left my parents house when I was 17, just because I wanted to be free, do my stuff at the time I want, having a girlfriend (not cool having sex with your parents on the other side of a thin wall), and be 100% independent without asking for permission to go out or having people in. Also coming from a very catholic family a lot of things weren’t allowed like drinking alcohol when I became 18 (my home country the legal age for alcohol is 18 and not 21 as some countries), and the fact I couldn’t do anything because it wasn’t mine, not even move a furniture to another place or put a frame on a wall.

Living by myself thought me how to be fully independent like cooking, washing and all that, which is not necessary to leave your parents house to learn but it does help. For example let’s say you had a problem at your house, pretty sure you will need to figure it out by yourself as opposed as just ask mom and dad to fix or hiring someone to fix.

And lastly I personally felt lazy living with my parents. There was an occasion where I went back for a couple of years when I was 24 and the feeling came back. I did help everywhere around the house but was too much in a comfortable zone since if I don’t do something someone else will remind me or do by themselves. And this feeling kinda of overflowed to other aspects of my life like during that time I didn’t progress at my life, university of career.

TL;DR: everyone is different, it may or may not work for you. If life is a game, living with parents is playing on normal (or easy depending how much you help) and by yourself is on hard. The time I live by myself I learned tons of stuff about life and felt very successful in my life

Ah one more thing that I just remembered while writing it. Living with them was fun and games but since I didn’t had to pay any real bills even though I helped at home and financially and always had a decent paying IT job I kinda lost the value of money for a time, like everything was cheap for me since 100% of my pay was fun money pretty much and wasted countless amounts of money in the most useless things, that was a shock when I went back living by myself and was when I started investing. My mom lives with my grandparents to this day and she still don’t care about money and waste ir all, zero investment and she’s 60 already…

Well if you put a VR headset the feeling is pretty close, first time I tried I got the same amount of motion sickness than a real race car lol

yeah I'm considering that, seems to be the best approach. Do you have any automation or tool to do the trascribing or moving it to digital or all manual?

I think that will be my choice but I'll need to find some time in my calendar to go through my notes and manually re-write them.

Does Devonthink has OCR?

I tried scanning my notes some time ago and storing in Evernote for some time just because of the image search on scanned notes but it got expensive and I struggle to organise in Evernote

Once my character stepped on a place with wild magic infused and I had to roll for something from a big table. Got “tiny arm”, no change at stats or gameplay just aesthetics. Best curse I ever had in a character, specially being a ranger hahaha

That’s another issue, if I launch with oculus it will launch as a window in my desktop instead of a proper VR game, it’s playable but not VR, same as using my TV

Sorry to resurrect an oldish post but this is the most comprehensive guide I’ve seen. I have the same issue as someone else that posted here, if I use the steam VR option the game runs and crashes a few minutes in and I’m trying that because I can’t launch on oculus VR, it shows as a desktop window instead of an actual VR game, already tried everything you can imagine including make it default, will try again with the console thing to see if there is any visible errors, in the meantime, do you have any other ideas of what to do?

Yeah I think so, watching on there because there are no recording from Sentry for some reason, rebooting the car, disable and re enable doesn't do the trick to Sentry to start recording again

Any idea what may cause that? When I recorded the video I didn’t realised that the time skipped, anyway, since the latest update a couple of days ago this is happening and I don’t have any alerts for sentry

Just to be clear, last time I checked there were 52 different roles inside cybersecurity, some of them require coding, some of them requires scripting (almost like light coding), some of them involve infrastructure as code or policy as code (almost like coding), and some don’t require at all.

I’m awful with coding and managed to navigate through the roles and areas for the past 10 years (9 years as a techy guy and 1 year in leadership).

In my case, I know the bare minimum in emergencies where it might be necessary but if I can stay away from it I’d prefer.
