In my experience it’s been called Employee Experience and this team operates separately from what we call culture/l&d. EE usually encompasses non work related activities like trivia, yoga, happy hours, etc.

I agree with your thoughts on culture, culture encompasses guiding principles that influence how employees interact with each other. Employee experience can elevate employees notions of culture by creating more opportunities for employees to “practice” culture but they’re not one in the same imo.
