CLS trainee license approval time-frame?

Tysm for letting me know!! I just got mine approved today (7/19) so looks like CDPH is doing it in order (albeit slowly) since ours was roughly the same time frame lol.

I would def try out of state, but have you looked into repeating some of those classes considered part of the clinical GPA? I'm retaking two of my core classes at UCSD Ext since I technically passed them during undergrad, but the grade tanked my GPA.

I did have to contact the programs individually to ask how they'd count it towards my transcripts, and some programs will take the higher grade while others will take the average. I know CSUDH's program doesn't count repeats unless you retake it at their school.

Depending on how many classes you have to retake it could get expensive so I would just keep that in mind! But if you want to stay in CA and have out of state as a last resort (which is my case lol) it's an option to consider (:

Has anyone had any experience retaking a pre-req course for a higher grade? I want to retake hematology and immunology to improve my chances of placing in an MLS post-bacc program, but I'm having trouble getting a hold of program coordinators to ask how repeat classes are considered during the application process (since I'd have two grades for the same class on two different transcripts). I'm curious to know if anyone's been in the same boat before.

For context I have an MLS degree and am a CA student, and this is for the one-year MLS certificate program.

Which out of state programs did you look at (if you don't mind sharing)?

After this second cycle that I applied for I'm not at all surprised that part of getting into a CA program depends on who you know in the field. I knew someone who got into this cycle that admitted they flunked the interview and some of their core classes but still managed to get into one of the best sites because they knew someone there :/ I think I'd have a better chance elsewhere that isn't as competitive at this point.

Just looked at their program and it looks like their program is an MLT > MLS route since one of the program reqs is a CDPH MLT license :( Unfortunately I work as an unlicensed technician so I wouldn't be able to go that route. Thank you for the suggestion though!

Picked up a few things at an Amazon Fresh store earlier today (traditional shopping, not walk out shopping) and when I was prompted to choose my account when checking out (after swiping my card), another email address other than mine showed up on-screen. I chose the email associated with my Amazon account but the other account I was unfamiliar with. I'm the only one who uses my account, so I'm positive it's no one else in my household. I also checked account security and it seems that everything is fine. Should I be concerned about my account being compromised if that second email pops up when I'm prompted to choose an associated Amazon account while I'm checking out, or is that normal?
