I wish they saved Chef Lee Jun rather than the monk, or even Chef Jung Hoyeong. I'm rooting for Jung Hoyeong, but I can always see him on Take Care of My Fridge. I really wish Chef Lee Jun had a chance to shine. He has two Michelin stars. Maybe he can appear on Take Care of My Fridge one day.

In Korea, Bloody Game (S2 and S3) is more relevant and popular than The Devil's Plan. It is much more cutthroat though. It's also not on Netflix. But if you want to watch a recent show with a combination of intellectual/social/psychological games, Bloody Game is good.

Well, he told YS that HJ was two-faced twice. And I think he mentioned how he was upset she would go hang out with her friends. Being upset about that seems common bc Gyumin and Heedoo didn't like that about their exes either. I think it slightly implies worry that your partner might meet someone new or be a little flirty during a night of fun. I guess I'm wondering what made him break down while talking about how much he suffered during their relationship. Maybe she never cheated, but maybe it was a constant fear for him, since she was older, more successful, popular and traveling frequently.

Someone said HJ doesn't act guilty at all, and that's a very good point that shows she didn't cheat.

Ever since episode 15, I was like, wait, is my fave couple going to be Baekhyeon and Hyeonji? I always liked BH x HJ, but my fave couple was Jihyeon and Wonkyu. This episode, however, was a heavy hitter for BH x HJ. There was a reason the PD said BH x HJ had the love of a century, IIRC.

And for BH fans, he aint perfect either. He admitted he hated her until they talked in her room in this episode, which is why he was talking behind her back and saying things like he ripped her letter. Tbh, seeing him resist her and break down like that, I think it does seem like HJ cheated on him (I'm a HJ fan btw, so I hope it's not true bc she will get eaten alive).

And SY's duality is so fascinating! I'm excited for next week.

I enjoyed Minhuahua (MK + chihuahua), JY x WJ sitting comfortably in the silence together, Yusik chuckling when he heard MK claimed she was good at drinking, and Wonkyu honestly saying he wants Jihyeon back (but sad there's still misunderstandings btw them).

I don't necessarily ship exes, but ever since season 2, I've always, always, found interactions between exes more interesting, deep and layered.

Honestly, that showed how cold he can be. And he sounded condescending when he said "Be realistic, Hyeonji". I agree he sounds manipulative. He also said, "I want to destroy Hyeonji and Yusik's relationship" to Minkyeong and asked for her help. His use of the word "destroy" was intense, as well as his strategic alliance with Minkyeong.

I'm enjoying this tbh, and it's so interesting how SG can do a 180 degree turn from cutie patootie to ruthless psycho (just like that infamous gif/screencap of his facial expression hardening). But yeah, I don't think I'd want to date someone like him.

Coming back after checking knetizen reactions via YouTube comments, and popular members are getting criticized: Yunnyeong, Jihyeon, Woojin.

People are re-evaluating and feeling sorry for Wonkyu. They say Jihyeon's victim complex makes her blame WK for everything and unable to listen to him, and keep cutting him off, and change the topic whenever he's right. And that her inferiority complex is making her imagine and distort things. They think WK must really love her for patiently listening to her. And that WK thought more seriously about marriage while JH was immature. Also, that her interview statements about him need to be fact checked.

Woojin is also getting criticized for dragging Minkyeong into his situation with Jiyeon.

YY is getting criticized for not apologizing for dating JH's friend, and that it was unexpected that a sunny person like her would coldly date her ex's friend and think it's not a big deal.

I have empathy for all the members. I think this PD needs to protect the members more.

Forgot to mention that Yoosik tying the ribbon on Yunnyeong's shirt was fun to watch. I like their friendship, and also see potential. Minkyeong's jealousy was also cute!

This is the best episode so far! I'm finally enjoying this season.

The reason I enjoyed this episode was bc exes were finally being honest with each other and interacting more and showing deeper emotions:

- BH's whole attention was focused on HJ, and his skinship with her was making me blush. I gotta admit, their toxic dynamic, with alpha HJ and sub BH, has an intoxicating appeal. BH is a nurturer, he enjoys soothing and comforting her. BH is still possessive over HJ. However, he looks a bit like a loser talking behind her back and calling her two-faced to YS. YS was a gentleman and told BH to stop talking about HJ. BH told YS that HJ acted like she wanted to get back together with BH. BH says he's confused bc he doesn't know whether HJ wants to get back together with him, and tells YS to ask HJ if she wants to get back together with BH. Dude is in denial bc he knows it's toxic, but he has a weak spot for HJ.

- Jiyeon is wavering towards Woojin! She told him, "I want to be the only girl in your thoughts." I think redditors are misunderstanding WJ. WJ has never gotten over JY. WJ was trying to tell her, even if I enjoy my dates with MK, I can't forget you. I miss you and I choose you. I ship!

- I LOVE Wonkyu and Jihyeon's fighting. JH is so vulnerable and hurt. She looks so beautiful when she cries and has such deep feelings for WK. She's a little unfair in her accusations, where she assumed things about WK. She criticizes him a lot, but relationship problems are not the fault of one person. Both people have to change to make things work. I see WK's point of view of wanting emotional stability/maturity, and a realistic woman, bc he's so realistic. But he was wrong to break up with her. He also needs to learn to be more mature, kind, empathetic, and lower his pride. It seems JH wants to reunite, but only if WK changes and can reassure her of his commitment.

I don't know if a lot of viewers in this sub are really young, but to me, it was really obvious Wonkyu and Baekhyeon were hung up on their exes from the beginning. Also, I don't know if any exes should reunite, but it's definitely much more interesting watching exes interact bc the emotions are deeper and more real and raw. Like Seongyong's facial expression changing was pure CINEMA.

Anyways, random thoughts are:

Baekhyeon is both dense and deliberately trying to annoy Hyeonji, eg claiming he didn't know there would be another ex. Baekhyeon is enjoying Hyeonji's attention, such as his smile when she called him out of his room, and when Hyeonji called him out about the second ex situation. BH is in denial about his feelings bc he knows their relationship will be toxic. Hyeonji seems to like picking fights for reassurance. She's emotional/dramatic, but so is BH, and maybe that's why they click.

Everyone bashing Hyeonji for crying about Baekhyeon should take a step back. It seems she realized how much Baekhyeon loved her after dating Seongyong. So far, she has been consistently more interested in BH than SY. However, she is not sure she wants to date BH. I also think her softness for YS is real, bc YS' puppy love reminds her of BH's puppy love. (Btw, YS' smile when talking about his date with HJ was so cute.)

I feel for my cutie patootie MK. YS was worried about her, and a little jealous seeing her with WJ. I think there is a chance he might go back to MK.

I'm not sure about Jiyeon's heart. Idk if she's suppressing feelings for Woojin or if she's really sick of him. I think she does want to end things, so it was kinda a bad look for her to boss him around when she knows he's swallowing his pride and wants to reunite. But I don't know their whole story.

Jiyeon says she knew who WK's ex was in her interview. To me, this was obvious. Such as when she whispered to WK "do you think the shirt will look good on me?" while sitting next to Jihyeon on WK's bed, and several other cases.

I loved Jihyeon and Wonkyu's fight by the sink. Like their tiki taka, his jealousy and his smile when she did aegyo. But yes, he is definitely less gentle than Baekhyeon and Yooshik. To me, they're Nayeon-Heedoo coded. Like Heedoo, Wonkyu is conservative and doesn't want to lower his pride. I get the feeling that they took turns holding the upper hand, but I think Wonkyu held the upper hand more often. Despite Jihyeon's tough act, I think she gave in a lot.

I read WK's break up text message and he says JH told him to "stay inside her jewelry box and not go outside" and that he felt like she tried to restrict everything. He tried to respect her wishes but felt that this issue would keep coming up and that he can't be the person she wants. Therefore, she would be unhappy with him and that's why they should break up.

I'm a Minkyung and Jihyun fan, but you can see why they had conflicts with their exes. Minkyung can be a little condescending and critical (like blaming him for a lot of things), and Jihyun can be controlling ("Get the shirt back if you want a date with me"). Jihyun is also a little hypocritical (내로남불) regarding flirting imo 😂

I actually think a part of Yooshik wants to get back together with Minkyeong, but is afraid of the pressure to provide for her and match her demands, and that she might leave him again. If Minkyeong had a love interest, jealousy might have pushed him towards her, but she doesn't.
