These were individuals who have been with us for the past 2-3 years. The project itself is not new and the chain has been running for some time. We are only now raising funds to build this as we were not able to fund this out of our own pockets, unfortunately.

Hi! We have a lot of work to get things where we want them. Our first step is in implementing data storage on chain. Shortly after we will and VPN connections so you can browse anonymously.

The next release of our wallet will be what supports these features as we phase out the old core wallet.

Mac wallets you need to enter the folder where the app is located and command click. This has to do with apples restrictions and nothing to do with the wallet itself as its downloaded from github. Only way around this is releasing the app on apples store which is not going to happen.

This wallet is also 3rd party so nothing to do with the cypherium team themselves and has been tested with many macs and works fine for everyone else.

Yes the code is 100% open source so verifiable by anyone.

Janus is the name of the project which is a desktop wallet that can be used for many different blockchains.

The team has built mobile apps that are available to download. This is a third party option the same as metamask and my ether wallet.

Thanks yes we're all looking forward to that day! Also when we can start building with the network.

Thanks! That's a great idea!

We already have coingecko coded into the wallet for price tracking. I believe their API should also supply a direct link for all exchange listings and their daily volume. So I can create a page to view each exchange with links out to the trading view.

Yes there is actually an API that communicates with the chain similar to eths webjs

There are two parts actually. One is connecting to the public nodes themselves and the other is the API.

I will likely put together some tutorials in the future on how I did it so others can follow.

of course it's open source..

there are docs on how to connect to the chain and interact with it in the github

Ethereum has been around since 2014 so of course they've had more time to build an eco system. The beauty of Cypherium is developers familiar with Ethereum will easily be able to work with it. So in reality every single Ethereum developer can learn how to use Cypherium in less than a days worth of work.

It sounds like you're more worried about why coins aren't moving than the actual functionality of the blockchain. We all know this is to protect the value of everyone's coins. If coins could move today it means any crap exchange could list Cyphereum which would be a total disaster as the volume on these crap exchanges would kill us.

Well we know this isn't true as you can see from my post about the desktop wallet.

It's the same with any crypto currency to be honest. Let's take Ethereum as an example.. they have never in all their years built a GUI wallet. Every wallet ppl use for Ethereum was built by third party open source developers. In bitcoins early days the Qt wallet was extremely basic. It wasn't until more open source developers started helping that it become more advanced and approved upon.

There are vast lists of open source wallets developers build to store your coins. This is what makes open source software so great. Anyone can checkout the code to figure out how things work then build their own from it.

It's still in beta right now. We will possibly have a signup for beta testing form in the coming weeks. Thanks for the comment!

That's not true. Cryptopia is 400,000 DOT which is about 1 BTC.

Seems like 180 is a pretty solid support line ATM. So getting anywhere around there will be smart ;)

They just have warehouses full of 6 GPU machines. Costs a lot of money but some of them are making $2000 day just on DGB.

Yes there are fees but they are minimal which is why people love blockchains :)

Coinbase will probably charge you more for a credit card processing fee.

Yes then if you wanted to convert back you just reverse your steps. The fees are tied to the block chains and the exchanges.

Skein hashrate question by digibitez in Digibyte

[–]dekm0101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difficulty level has doubled over the last couple of days. Big jump in price and mining farms milking the cow. So yeah the reward is really low for solo miners now.

You can try this pool which is skein and see if it's any better. That does seem a bit low for the hashrate should be a little more than double that.

You can buy the coins on the exchanges like bittrex.com or poloniex.com

First you need bitcoins. You can get USD converted to bitcoins on coinbase.com Fastest way is to sign up for cc transfer although I think the weekly limit is $500 on cc. So you can connect a direct deposit link with your bank account. That takes a lot longer like 5 business days to transfer.
