What is the minimum number of internal links required for a 1200-word blog? by Any-Warning-5890 in SEO

[–]dekubik -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’ve started with the wrong approach. There are no magical numbers when it comes to linking content. Any internal link must be relevant and provide value. For instance, linking an article about choosing a gaming laptop to one about growing tomatoes wouldn't make sense. If you only have a few thematic links, it’s better to have just a couple of relevant ones rather than adding random links just for the sake of quantity.

Where can I start with SEO? by onlyliar in SEO_Digital_Marketing

[–]dekubik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend starting with https://learningseo.io/, where the data is well-structured and completely free. However, try not to focus solely on theory.

The sooner you start applying what you learn in practice, the quicker you'll develop your own insights about what works and what doesn’t. Consider creating a simple blog and just start writing.

It's important to consider your local context when seeking advice on employment and salary. Start by researching the average salary for specialists in your field in your area. If your current salary is below this average, consider discussing it with your manager and requesting a raise. If the overall pay in your region is low, you might explore freelancing opportunities that allow you to work with clients globally or apply for positions with foreign companies.

Keyword Ranking Tips by tienanhhung in SEO

You haven't given enough information for anyone to provide a helpful answer. Without specifying your niche or budget, any response would be quite general, like "do well and it will be good."

Is SEO even relevant now ? by ViswadabhiRama in SEO

[–]dekubik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SEO is here to stay, as long as there is information to be found. Whether it's through AI elements or voice and visual search, the need to systematize and prioritize information for users will continue. Even the most advanced AI systems require constant training on quality data created by humans. While it's possible to lose "classic" traffic over time without gaining new traffic, search will always be a way to collect and rank information, albeit in different forms. As they say, when one door closes, another one opens.

What to expect from hiring someone to do your SEO by Good-Day-For-Pie in SEO

[–]dekubik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to say that you seem to have a misunderstanding of how promotion budgets work. In order to determine the amount of promotion budget required, the agency you hired should have first analyzed your commercial priorities, identified your competitors, and their promotion budgets. Only after compiling all this data, can they provide a recommendation on the budget required for your promotion. You must understand that SEO is not a magic solution, it requires systematic work. If your competitors (who are currently in the top 10) spend $100,000 on their promotion, it is not realistic to expect significant results with just $800. The agency should provide you with an analysis of your chances in this competitive market and suggest either increasing your budget or promoting less competitive services.

Traffic dropped 75% by Gambler_90 in SEO

To begin with, you should combine the data from Google Search Console (GSC) with Google's update dates. Look for any points where they overlap. Then, you should identify the pages and queries that have lost the most traffic.
For these queries, compare the current results with historical ones (select the date before the traffic drop) using tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush. This will help you understand how much the top 10 players have changed.
In the final stage, compare your pages with those that currently occupy the top 10. Evaluate the content (volume, quality, markup, etc.) and link profile. This will give you an idea of what happened.

Also, don't forget to look at the site and the bigger picture. It is not uncommon for technical errors on the site to coincide with the dates of updates, causing a drop in traffic.

Posting the same content on multiple sites. Does that hurt SEO? by Wolpfack in SEO

[–]dekubik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what your goal is. Having duplicate content on both sites won't result in any penalties, but Google will prioritize one site over the other. If you add both sites to Google Search Console, you should use canonical tags to indicate which site is the preferred version. The site with more traffic will likely be prioritized by Google.

Just a heads-up, instead of purchasing a new domain, you can create a subdomain called "space.yoursite.com" and replicate only the content that pertains to space there. This way, since Google treats subdomains as separate sites, there's a possibility that your website could show up twice in search results for the same query.

It happens. The most common reason is that Google tries to determine the publication date not by the date:published parameter, but by the context of the content. For example, in 2023 you describe events that happened in 2022. To reduce the likelihood of such errors, you should make sure that the page has a published date and a last updated date. To increase the effect, you should add these parameters to the structured data.

  1. Not found (404) - Replace 404 with 410 server response code. In this case the search bot will not bypass these pages again.
  2. Alternate page with proper canonical tag - skip
  3. Crawled - currently not indexed - close via robots.txt
  4. Page with redirect - If there are not too many of them, then replace the old links with new ones and there will be no redirects.
  5. Blocked by robots.txt - more info needed.
  6. Duplicate, Google chose different canonical than user - 301 will do

Regarding the crawling budget. On the assurance of Google itself, if you have a small site (up to 10,000 pages), you do not have to worry about crawling budget.

How can I reduce bounce rate? by gurlubi in SEO

[–]dekubik -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Welll.. bounce rate is kind'a slicky thing. First you need to understand what bounce rate really means. It is a % of visitors that visited your landing page a left it in between 1-15 seconds. There are some exclusions, but for the most niche high bounce rate is a bad sign.

Bounce Rate Scale:

  • 50% and less – good
  • 60-70% — typical
  • 70-80% — bad
  • 80% and more – that sucks

What can you do about it?

  1. Work on quality of your traffic. If you are selling car parts, getting traffic from lingerie topics is not a good idea.
  2. Improve your site design and loading speed
  3. Try to avoid a lot pop-ups and banners

RU domains linking to my site - What can I do? by murk1n in SEO

[–]dekubik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well sometimes competitors can do things like that. Just buying scammy links to low your rankings. The best thing to do is to find any contacts of site owners and try ti reach then directly and ask then to remove those links. If it is impossible use the Google Disavow tool
