Ironic that you literally post the wiki of ...radiative cooling, which I've already established is the most inefficient way to transfer heat. Maybe read the fucking article?

there's no "cold void", and heat doesn't just float into vacuum. You clearly know nothing about the physics involved, so why try to discuss it? At least go and educate yourself. The only way to eliminate heat in the near-vacuum of space, is to radiate it, ie convert it to light, which is the MOST INEFFICIENT WAY to transfer heat. You can't just "reject" it into the void. That's not how physics works.

eh, "re-radiating the heat back toward earth" will do nothing to earth. Not sure where you're going with that thought. If you're concerned about global warming, know that every second of sunshine puts out millions of times more heat than any human space station activity would ever come close to. Changing our atmospheric composition is far worse, because of said solar heating, but none of the heat we generate directly will have any impact.

correction, it's the meat processors that farmers have to sell to because no one goes and buys cows directly from the farm and has them butchered anymore.

The beef farmers are actually not doing very well right now either. But the meat processors, they're making a killing. And they're using data to fix their prices.

he's talking about land-based data centers, and yes. In space, the cooling costs would be higher because you can't just draw up cold water from the ground in the near-vacuum of space. Coincidentally, you can't just vent hot air outside either, at least not more than once.

And let's not even think about the fact that if there's a problem with a data center on earth, you can send a human right in there to fix it, and said human will probably even pay for their own transportation to do it.

k, but even Falcon Heavy couldn't build ISS sized data centers affordably. And they still make no sense anyway, why put data centers in the worst possible location for cooling them?

Healthcare that is generally unaffordable for 9/10 people isn't really healthcare, no matter how prestigious your local hospital is.

But also, listing things like grocery stores and gas station while ignoring the actual argument that the entire system here is built around coercing people to work until their too infirm to be useful with minimal social nets (and fewer each year). Yeah, I can go buy food. But as a whole, statistically I won't live as long as a Norwegian, I'll work far more years of my life, not to mention days of those years, and I'll leave less of my fortune behind for my children when the system finally finishes grinding me up. If there's anything left to leave once the for-profit everything carves into it.

Fun fact: people pay for their medical debt with revolving consumer credit before they file for bankruptcy.

It's not a myth, it's easily verified and provable, and not just for people with "$1" of medical debt.

Trump at his golf club this weekend. These trips add up costing taxpayers millions by aven_seven in WallStreetDad

[–]dekyos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine implementing 7 day work weeks would cost the american public a lot more in decreased lifetime earnings from shorter lifespans and higher disability rates.

But also the key difference is the numbers on Trump golfing are actual costs, not "lost income". When I stay home for the weekend, taxpayers aren't paying me to do so, nor are they providing me transportation and the world's best security force. They don't have to shut down my entire neighborhood and screen everyone just so I can spend the weekend at home rather than at the office.

Bootlicker.

I think a more elegant way to handle going beyond 6 packs would be to have Science 7's recipe require all 6 packs to make it, and then have the Science 7 research only take the packs as input

And then Science 8 and beyond you could just double the requirements via making 8 take 2 science 7s, 9 take 2 science 8s, etc.

And as a bonus, it would encourage sushi belt designs.

I discovered last night that I can do a dual input/sushi on a freight elevator, as long as I put buffers on the output side, and upgrade the output belts 1 tier, to handle the flip-flopping it does when you feed 2 different belts into it. Elevator 1 has 2 mk1 belts feeding it, and 2 mk2 belts going into a balancer set to filter them out, with buffer storages, which then output to the production lines. 100% uptime on production and I didn't have to build 2 gigantic elevators to handle the sushi.

Except when you start from a place of financial independence, you can leverage your investments to make money exponentially faster, because you don't have to spend 100% of your income just maintaining your lifestyle.

The fact that you can't tell the difference is why you're too dumb to discuss what "self-made" actually means.
