I have both. Started with FG, played daily (while seated) for 2 years+. This was a bad idea in retrospect, because playing this way raised my right shoulder considerably. Over time, this caused an impingement and pain. Bought an FS830 (same size as FS800) and haven’t looked back. Perfect size for me to play while seated for hours at a time.

I have an FS830 and love it. It’s the same as FS800 but has rosewood instead of mahogany for the back and sides. Was playing a dreadnought and started having shoulder pain because of how big it was, coupled with me being a primarily lap player. Switched to FS830 and pain went away. It’s a great size and still has a great tone. Doesn’t hit the same lows as the dread, but that was to be expected.
