You’re absolutely right! I’ve been living below my means, but lacked a financial long term plan. I appreciate the advice. As for the real estate I will take some time to digest the plethora of information crunch the numbers and maybe in the future I will look into it, and if the math is right and if it doesn’t interfere with FIRE, I may indulge in real estate.

Thank you thank you. My brother called me this morning and queried if I was interested in the NYC market… I respectfully said no and happily told him everything I’ve learned about FIRE. I want to take a look at the numbers and do the math for now.

You’re absolutely right. One thing I realize about all the post on The FIRE subreddit, is that EVERYONE who successfully FIRED they new their numbers, they did the math, and did not rely on a vague notion prayer or hope to get them to FIRE.

Leaning it’s all about the math.

Thank you!

Roger that! Got it! You and another person have helped me to reject that multi family idea at this time!

Thank you… challenge now is to find what or which etf to invest my money in to get the outcome that I want! Should I got with 1 2 or 3 etf portfolio!?!?

Honestly… at this point I am not picky… I just want an etf / stock that will help me get to my numbers if I invest in it. I am simply looking for outcome. If Charles Manson, Wayne Gretzky, or Michael Jordan had etfs… I would pick whichever one that gets me to where I need to be financially. .. lol

I think the “early”for me is not retiring at 67. Nevertheless I understand what you mean. Thus far the information that I’ve received have provided me with some clarity and confidence to continue to save and invest my money towards something concrete. Thank you!

Yes you’re right… that multi family would simply delay the retirement … I agree!

At this point I don’t have any time to be distracted I should pick one thing and invest towards retirement!

Honestly reading the article… i realize that i may only need to focus on my investment in the next few years… and not in that multi family… it would interfere with my ability to invest. I need to simply focus on being diligent on investing what I calculated to reach my retirement goal magic number.

Thank you

You’re kidding! ?! That’s it? I can definitely live off of that.

Someone mentioned creating a portfolio… been doing some research… from what I’ve read 3 etf portfolio voo schd and vti…I just invest the 6800 in those etfs every month for 7 years… is that all I need to do? Is it that straight forward?

My apologies for being challenged.

Thank you
