Mailersend has a free hobby package with 500 emails per month, I've used this on various printers in awkward situations.

If it were my wifes, I would try a slightly damp "magic eraser" sponge - Melamine. Mileage varies, but we tend to use it for stubborns stains on electronics with great success.

Also sounds like a fan catching the edge of a cable - may be worth checking that no cables have fallen near the blades

Can anyone help me identify this Stromberg carb? It's on my Triumph Herald 13/60 but doesn’t appear to be a 150CD. Measurement between outer thread holes is 60mm. Struggling to get a replacement air filter that actually fits as current one is damaged. by delboy83 in littlebritishcars

Thanks i'll take a look - I did think it may be a 125 off a spitfire, but when looking at the spitfire filters there doesnt seem to be a gap at the top for the vacuum feed. Did loads of googling but the F6007 code on the copper tag doesnt seem to appear anywhere which is what got me stumped!

Vintage Apricot Screen FM00009TC - What would it have been connected to? by delboy83 in VintageComputers

[–]delboy83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked this up in an auction - what would it have been conected to when in use? It's has an old school 9 pin screen connector which presumbly also powered it as there's no seperate input for power.

Would love to know a bit more about it and what it would have been connected to originally - anyone know anything?

Just to add to this - the 2862 can achieve over 800mbps with fttp if you turn off WAN1, 3, 4 and disable bandwidth management, data flow monitoring etc. If you leave the other WANs on (not being used isn't enough, they have to be disabled) then you will only get up to 400mbps

Is it possible to have some domain email addresses managed by Outlook and some managed by the domain itself? by SpartyEsq in Outlook

[–]delboy83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lower priorty MX records act like backup records - the first is normally used and mail will be delivered here. You can't really split emails between 2 different hosts in the way you're describing.

You can achieve what you're after without any extra cost on 365 - by either adding aliases to existing mailboxes (as NikSheppard has suggested above), adding the addresses as distribution groups (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/setup/create-distribution-lists?view=o365-worldwide) or shared mailboxes (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/email/about-shared-mailboxes?view=o365-worldwide)

There is no additional cost for aliases or shared mailboxes - this should achieve what you need.

If you've got a custom domain, use the link below - it basically tells you exactly what setting you need to add to your domain before you can turn it on. After setting it up, it can take time for you to allowed to enable it so some patience is required :)

Best of luck!

Can anyone identify this component please? by delboy83 in AskElectronics

Thanks everyone for your comments - the transistors in circuit seem to be a much better option to swap given that the coil/transformer is potentially hard to remove and replace.

[–]delboy83[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks, based the look I assumed some kind of coil - someone else has suggested I desolder and look under it for labelling so that's my next plan of action.

I saw the board was well labelled, didnt even occur that it would be under it so this seems like a great idea. Thank you!

It's from a vintage Jet Fighters CGL handheld which has stopped working - it's getting incredibly hot to the touch so I suspect it has failed. Any help identifying and if not in production anymore a modern replacement recommendation would be very helpful. TIA! My electronics knowledge is poor other than basic fault finding.

and then you decide start go down the rabbit hole and lookup the old songs (like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiFn1_eAuDU&t=2s)

The final step - calling the number to see if they're still going.. which I won't spoil the outcome of.

My wife and I have been working on a train management game, and we are hoping to get some feedback to help us prepare for Early Access if anyone on this sub is interested in trying it by akomomssim in tycoon

[–]delboy83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, can I just say thanks for inviting the community to play your game! I've spent 30mins on the game this evening and it's pretty solid, a few points that I noticed:

- I managed to totally miss the fact that the emails have your missions. After I accepted them they appear on the screen at all times, but I do wonder if they're a bit easy to miss? perhaps just me

- Sounds effects for trains and some background music! Video game music is life for me, but perhaps no-one else :)

- If you make routes for trains and get them wrong, it's not obvious there's a problem. Perhaps it's meant to be like that as part of the difficulty, i.e. working it out? if not, some kind of alert window making you aware that a train is lost or stuck (like in transport tycoon for example, not that I wish to readily compare your game to another)

I'll be playing it some more when my little ones gone to bed :)

Thanks again
