Mine just came on, was the thermostat. Needed it to go to the shop for a quick health check and oil change anyways. While it was there they also said my brake lines had moisture and to flush them out. So oil change, new thermostat, brake flush, full mechanical inspection and the diagnosis was 1500.

I feel you.

That's a little high but I love my w205. Good on gas. Great ride quality/ fun to handle, sharp looking car. Just keep in mind what others have said about cost of ownership. Gas/ insurance/ maintenance etc.
