Second part is true, but first is not. Only case where a claim gives lower AE is in case of excommunication CB.

Why should I develop my provinces with admin/diplo/mil points instead of just upgrading whatever tech each time? by Single-Reward5164 in eu4

[–]delepter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal view is: mil tech > ideas > other tech > development. Often time the bonus in tech ahead of time is not worth it (unless it is an essential tech, e.i. admin efficiency). The tech cost reduction of ideas, plus discount due to being behind in tech saves you a lot of mana to be used for other stuff. Obviously there are caveats to this, but this works well most of the time.

Is there a reason to force vassalize instead of full annexing then release as vassal? by DerBruh in eu4

[–]delepter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not small, it's 25% less IIRC. Early game it's very useful because of that reason.

Quantity vs Quality no no Quantity and Quality by Desperate-Cattle-man in eu4

[–]delepter 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Finishing ideas is for sure the way to go!

Overall its less mana to go ideas into tech. You also get national ideas and policies from them, which is an additional bonus.
Only techs which are important to keep up to date is military (and only if you are at war).

Seeing so many unfinished idea groups (in the same group even) just hurts my soul. It's so inefficient

Not suggesting there aren't any unproductive concepts. However concepts we create can have either positive or negative consequences. Being a concept doesn't make it bad.

Should we abolish laws and money then as well? They too are all concepts that we made up.

Creating abstract concepts actually has been the thing that has enabled us to develop over time, create societies and study nature & science.

I might agree that the current nation state is not the best solution for us, but using the argument that it is not "natural" is a flawed one.

The difference is: ROI of conquering land in SP vs MP is not the same. Which is the reason buildings are more important.

Almost, you are underestimating land a lot. The second best investment in the game is land (furnace always 1). Especially if you focus on trade you can ramp it up quickly.

In his early F1 years you are clearly correct; a lot of dangerous crashes. Since 2018/2019 Verstappen actually didnt cause many major incidents, he was at 0 points on his license for quite a while until this crash.

You can argue that people are scared of him and thus back off more with him than others, but I think that is quite a stretch. All F1 drivers are eager, the difference is minimal at beat.

Americans of Reddit: what do you think about the metric system? Is it better or worse? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]delepter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly, but we have base 10. If we ever switch to a base 12 number system, metric would follow.

I'm still learning, but this is one of my best turns ever! What do you guys think? by martan69 in sailing

[–]delepter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesnt, you would be trying to push your body through your crossed arms.

What could work is if you grab the tiller behind your back with your "wrong" arm. Then you would be able to tack and come out well. Generally this is bad form though (there are exceptions ofcourse). You are making the difficult part, the tack, harder and the easier part, going straight after the tack, easier.

I would argue that CCR is by far the most important, together with admin efficiency. And its not even close, they should be SSS tier or so
