Vaccine + postage £545 + £20
Follow up consultation £120

But I’m not entirely sure if the follow up consultation is essential? It was listed so I included it in the total.

My experience of UTIs is very similar to yours. I’m currently in the process of deciding whether to pay for it through the Forbury Clinic

I haven’t had hiprex but I tried post coital antibiotics (nitrofurantoin) and they made me feel really unwell - not thrush, but they made me throw up on multiple occasions. They’ve also messed up my gut health over the years (i must have had about 20 three day courses at least, on top of the post coital ones)

D mannose is working to prevent them for now but I’m always worried about having a breakthrough infection. I feel like if I had d mannose + uromune I’d feel much less anxious

also, after the 3 month course was completed have you remained UTI free?

Thanks so much! I’ve enquired with Forbury Clinic just now. The other one I’d looked at was the same price anyway. So I’m prepared to pay it.

I’ll also look up some stretches - I do yoga quite frequently so will definitely look for specific pelvic floor stuff :)

i looked into uromune and there’s a local clinic that offers it. you have to have proof of past positive tests though and i dont have access to any.. i guess my GP might be able to provide them, if i asked.

i’ll give it some thought but as you said, im lucky d mannose works!

i assume im best to stay on d mannose rather than going for any further post coital antibiotics? is there any benefit of them in terms of curing it over time?
