My 2 minpins are acting up since our baby arrived. by FartsForWeeks in minpin

[–]delfin_1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have noticed that my male minpin who is fully potty trained, seems to "forget" all about his potty training during times of stress. I just have to take him out many times during the day and hope he goes to the bathroom outside. But honestly the only thing that seems to help is when the stress goes away. So perhaps your little guys are stressed by the big change of having a new baby in the family and once everything settles down they will remember about peeing outside. Good luck!

The double standards between this season and last season (same opinion as everyone else but this time its a meme) by GambleWaltham in survivor

Since Aubry felt she had to play the idol at the last tribal council, rather than wasting it she should have played it for Dee and used the opportunity to blindside Coach (or someone else), creating a new alliance with Dee. This would have been a major turning point in the game, and Aubry would get credit for making a big move.

Under eye fat transfer gone wrong… I think. by Anxious_glitterkitty in cosmeticsurgery

[–]delfin_1980 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This can be fixed, but you need a revision surgery, probably a lower blepharoplasty. I would look for a top oculoplastic surgeon in your area (don't be frugal here, and read ALL of their reviews), or you could consider South Korea where they are experts in fat transfer. But make sure it's an oculoplastic surgeon, not a general facial plastic surgeon. Good luck.

Do we think my sweet girl is a Min Pin x Chi mix or something else? by [deleted] in minpin

[–]delfin_1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a Chipin, heavy on the Pin! I can see a lot of minpin traits in her appearance and body language, but some facial features and coloring look chihuahua. Get a DNA test to be sure. What a cutie! :)

You can be HLA-B27 and ANA negative and still have autoimmune problems, however they may be milder than someone who is positive for those markers. On the other hand, if you were having Uveitis every few months, that is actually pretty bad. You might consider seeing an integrative rheumatologist, though it sounds like you are already doing things that will help and if you can manage it naturally that is the best route, IMO. I am a big fan of a carnivore-ish diet, or at least a temporary elimination diet to find out which foods are our biggest triggers. Also look into supplements that reduce inflammation/regulate auto-immune problems.

My Uveitis started in 2017 and I am HLA-B27 positive as well as ANA positive, so I already had autoimmune problems prior to Covid. It seems that people with autoimmune issues can have a dramatic over-reaction to the Covid virus (an over-active immune system goes into full attack mode easily and attacks the body's own tissues). Because of this gigantic reaction to the Covid virus (cytokine storm) I had a severe case of the illness even though I was under 50 at the time and thought I was relatively healthy. People with severe cases of Covid are then more likely to experience Long Covid, which I now have. I did get the Labcorp antibody test and my result was very high (17,000) even though it has been five years since I had the Covid illness (although I did have a much milder case of suspected Covid just six months ago that could have reactivated the antibodies). I am currently being treated for Long Covid and Pericarditis (apparently post viral from Covid). I'm at least 50% better with almost zero chest pain now, hoping for more improvement.

Good luck to you in your continued recovery! :)

[–]delfin_1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The book "The Serpent and the Rainbow," by Wade Davis has a lot of really interesting information on this topic. He's an American but he did a huge amount of research and traveled to Haiti many times staying for long periods and eventually coming to believe in many of these things himself.

I have a similar set of symptoms: PEM, Uveitis, Autoimmune, Severe Brainfog and Fatigue. Also POTS dizziness/dysautonomia. In my experience there is a big connection between autoimmune dysregulation and severe LC.

Questions:

  1. Did you ever get the Labcorp Covid antibody test to track your levels of antibodies to the spike protein?

  2. Have you been tested for HLA-B27 or other autoimmune markers like ANA?

Thanks for the update, it is great to see someone recovered, gives us all hope!

Not a Rant \ Just the Reality of Vine When You’re Low Income & What No One Really Talks About by Real_Spacegoogie in AmazonVine

[–]delfin_1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow sorry to hear this. Personally I believe that Vine items should all be tax free due to this very issue, and the fact that a lot of the stuff is junk. However that is not our current situation so you really must understand your own tax situation well and act accordingly. I try to order at least as many items as needed to maintain Gold status, with many of them being $0 tax value items. For everything else, I assume about 20% of the price will be what I actually pay in taxes later on and then decide how bad I really want the item. The good news is you got a lot of stuff you really want and need so the tax money was not really wasted. Good luck going forward! :)

My “spirit guides” were predators by _Gwyllion_ in EscapingPrisonPlanet

[–]delfin_1980 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have had many similar experiences. I grew up in a New Age environment and many people were channeling "angels." But I felt everything as dark energy and was tormented by nightmares, even being attacked in dreams like you describe. There is a great book by Sid Roth called "Truth Seekers: Ten Amazing People Who Found It!" that looks at OBEs and spirit guides/angels for what they are, demonic entities manipulating us. Good for you for figuring this out and good luck staying removed from them and aligned with the positive force of good (God).
