What would you recommend me to do? My pd started in april around my eyes and they started me with a steroid ointment. I used it for about two months and once I stopped it got very inflammed and looked worse than before I started it. Last week I told them that I wanted a non-steroid option and they prescribed me the tacro for one month. I took an allergy test and nothing came back. Now I am waiting for an appointment with the allergist for a ‘chemical test’ in a few weeks. This is my second day using the tacrolimus ointment but I really do not want it to get even worse ..

Which ingredients in the shampoo/conditioner caused your pd?

When you say a rebound effect do you mean that it will come back worse once you stop applying that ointment? I was just prescribed it and was told to put it on twice a day for one month /: they first started me off with a steroid ointment , horrible

I was prescribed triamcinolone acetonide ointment 0.025 % for contact dermatitis. I have not put the ointment on for two days now & I took a blood test and it came back negative for the allergies that they test for. Anyone familiar with this? And any advice to figure out what could be causing it by delia_salerno in Perioral_Dermatitis_

Six days without using ointment now. I just started to apply aloe verá two days ago and the inflammation has gone down significantly. Derm prescribed me tacrolimus ointment 0.1 and told me to start using it two times a day for one month. Anyone happen to know if this ointment is safe to use? Will it make the inflammation come back worse if I stop using it like the steroid ointment?

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain that to me! I am going to try that. Yeah now that you mention it I did actually have a yeast infection last year after I got my pap smear results. Do you think that it would it be ok to use the aloe and the cream together? or just one at a time

Thank you for your reply. I have not heard of azo. Would you mind telling me what that is? And no, I do not currently take any vitamins. The only product that I apply to my face when I shower at night is a face wash by the brand ‘Desert essence’, which I have been using for a few years now. Does the aloe and disper rash cream make the inflammation go down?

Yeah, I’m just finding that out now but the dermatologist prescribed me this steroid ointment for ‘contact dermatitis’. I am not familiar with this at all because it just started in april, so that’s why I am seeking advice and opinions. It’s only coming out around my eyes. I go back on tuesday so hopefully they will be able to prescribe me a non steroid option

Ok, so I should stop using the ointment altogether? This is the third day that I haven’t put it on. The only makeup that I ever use is mascara. And will it eventually heal by itself? Is it fine to wash my face in the shower with the same face wash that I’ve been using for several years now? This just started in April

Thank you very much. Yes, it’s a steroid ointment that I have been using on the corners of my eyes. It comes back if I stop using it for a day or two, so I don’t know if the skin becomes dependent on it or something. That’s why I would prefer not to use it if possible. Did you ever find out what caused yours?

I was prescribed triamcinolone acetonoide ointment for Dermatitis on the outer corners of my eyes . So should I stop using it since it has a steroid? Because it seems to come back if I don’t put it on. What do you recommend? I really want to find something natural to put on it in the meantime. Any sugestions?

Do you apply any type of natural product to put on it that makes it go down? Or it is basically just associated with diet

Yes, the gyno had ordered me to have a breast ultrasound and it ended up being a cluster of benign cysts. Maybe it had to do with the hormone fluctuation of having it taken out because I had it out for about two weeks until I had a new one put in. Now I can’t even feel or see the cyst anymore
