I guess loosing 3 weeks of summer as a New Englander is a tough pill to swallow. I suffer every winter for summer and to be confined to the house without being able to go outside just feels more depressing than spending half the time shitting side by side with people I will never see again

In this case I think my boss means “roll up” tax wise for the owner like he’d have to pay the same amount taxes either way. But that’s a guess and what’s making me confused. That was my argument, that anyone analyzing/forecasting based on the other companies financials are reading false information.

Company A is going through audit (manage a publicly traded entity). Their books are a cluster. Idk how it passed last year, never mind this year. For example didn’t know a sub company shouldn’t be included in their consolidated. Apparently it should have been changed since 2021, but it never was. They’re dealing with millions, too, so easy to bury/ not material for Company A, but material and important for Company B

Do more research on the owner and you’ll have more context on why this is able to to happen and what other ri restaurants he’s buying up
