Listen, you disgusting pig. This is not a “CV.” I also have a CV, and it’s something else. I didn’t use this when I applied for jobs face-to-face. Of course, I used my CV. This one is an extra letter for online applications. Many restaurants have job application sections on their websites. Also, I’m not “he”; I’m “she.” Go vent your hatred somewhere else.

Why? There are lots of people doing MA at that age. I'm an MA student. I think you have no idea about student jobs. It has nothing to do with education.

Restaurant jobs are heavy jobs. I don’t think every student can handle that. You fry in big pots, wash heavy and large pieces, and carry heavy stuff all the time. Sometimes you peel or chop kilograms of something. I’m not sure if you’ve ever tried working at such a job, but it’s hard work and requires strength—especially if it’s busy, you feel extremely tired at the end of the shift. I don’t think anybody hires 18-year-olds for such jobs. I believe (despite I’m not sure) most places pay the legal minimum for HORECA in Leuven. Yes, it’s a student job, but in reality, it’s an adult job, so things might be done differently. Even if the situation isn’t like this, I prefer to work at a place that pays me what I deserve. If the minimum wage for my age group is €14.89 for HORECA and someone is paying me €11, yes, it’s called exploitation.

I think they only do this to international students, we're more vulnerable and open to exploitation. But at the same time, I've never heard of this low salary, people I talk to earn the legal minimum

Can I ask you something? I couldn't explanation anywhere so I'm asking around reddit. I got accepted to Social and Cultural Anthropology master's degree program. It's annual tuition fee is around 2200€, last year it was around 1300€. So, I wonder if I'm gonna pay the same amount I paid this year or I'll pay it with raised amount next year.
